My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night after we ran into some issues at another hotel. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with welcome drinks at check-in. We were escorted to our room which was large, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds were decent but a little plain compared to their sister hotel, Bliss Spa and Hotel just five minutes up the road. (We stayed there 2 nights prior but they could not accommodate us the third night because they were booked)

Breakfast was included and was one of the better breakfast buffets we had. There is a reputable money exchange across the street with good rates and it is about five minutes to Ubud Center. There was a taxi right out front that took us into Ubud Center for 50.000 IDR (under 4$).

In all, it's a solid choice for the money and far enough away from the city center to be nice and quiet.

If you love sending your friends great photos, this is the place for you. A ten minute walk to central Ubud, Ananda Cottages are a good mix of luxury rooms, good pools and spectacular gardens still dotted with rice paddies. Four poster beds, good air con, private balconies and breakfast included in the tariff (which is modest, about $50 US/ night) makes this place a really easy choice.
The restaurant food was a bit westernised for our taste, but there are a stack of dining options just out the front gate (try the ribs at Naughty Nuri's, about 50 mtrs up the hill, if you are a carnivore) and everything else, including drinks delivered to the pool at street prices make this place a winner.

Great location, excellent service, very comfortable room. I loved the fact that our balcony overlooked the rice paddies which separated our cottage from reception. We ate in the restaurant several evenings, tasty food and great service. Breakfast included plates of fresh fruit and a range of hot dishes with eggs cooked to order. Usual cereals, toast and spreads etc.

On our last evening, the air conditioner stopped working, we contacted reception and someone was round to look at it within minutes! It was working again very soon after that ( fuse or tripped switch that needed resetting) and he reappeared to confirm that everything was working. We could not fault the friendly efficient service.

A long time Campuan contender, now showing a little wear, yet still making every effort to compete. Covering over 2 hectares of wonderful, natural landscape, are about 20 cottages, each consisting of 2 rooms up and 2 rooms down. The rooms are bright, well maintained, and complete with all amenities. The wi fi and AC work well. The TV?...why it is there is a mystery as it only has local Indonesian stations. The grounds are well maintained and attractively laid out with pleasant pathways leading to all the cottages, and to the 3 swimming pools.
Now, back to the rooms, and can you actually get a good nights sleep in them?....well, that's actually up to your neighbour! Whether you are in an upstairs or downstairs room, you WILL hear your adjoining neighbour.....every movement, every opening and closing door or drawer, every foot step, every word, often sounding as if they are with you, talking in your room. Some upstairs rooms have wooden floors, and being below those, the thumping from above can be very irritating. Unfortunately, the quality of your rest is based on the consideration of your neighbour. How wonderful it is, should you both decide to hit the sack together at the same time, AND, be prepared for the mornings 7 am staffs noisy start to the days activities.
The breakfast buffet is GREAT!...particularly the fantastic array of fresh fruits, complete with yogourt and granola. A variety of breads are available, eggs any way you like, bacon or sausages, ugh!...as much as you like, juices....nothing is forgotten!
Over all, a great place!...just pray for a great neighbour.

We were blown away by how beautiful this property is. We visited as a family and took two adjoining rooms. Both were well appointed with very comfortable beds and a splendid view over the rice fields. We were fortunate enough to watch the rice being harvested on the last day of our stay (so it's not just for show). The pools are fantastic and the breakfast is above average for Bali. A great find!
