We did a day trip to Ubud and I wanted to go somewhere out of the main drag that had what I consider to be the alternative atmosphere that much of Ubud should have but is losing.
We found it here from the food, the staff and the other clients( with dreds/ yoga pants and an open demeanour). We were talking as a gorup and as we took off our shoes ( this is optional) and at least 3 customers on tables heard us and offered suggestions as to what we should order.
We all went for salads but had side dishes of dips/ gyoza etc. One comment from one of our group was that she found the salad leaves used too stronger flavour but she also had a bad headache from earlier that day so acknowledged she was not on top taste test form.
