We stayed at the Arma Resort for four days earlier this month and enjoyed our stay. The grounds of the resort are spectacular; lush and otherworldly. Once you step of off the bustling streets of Ubud, you've entered a green sanctuary that feels very different from the rest of the city that surrounds it. We were able to hire a guide (w/ car) to take us around and he - (his name was Chok-de) was superb.
Visually, the Arma Resort is stunning. There are orchids hanging from trees, frogs and lizards scampering about, and spiders the size of salad plates hanging in the trees above (don't worry, not in the rooms). I mention this because travelers should know that it does feel like you're in the jungle, so if you want a more antiseptic experience, Arma may not be your cup of tea. That said, the resort is visually stunning, and while we would likely choose a different hotel next time we are glad we had a chance to stay at the Arma Resort.More
