The location of this hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, but it is becoming run down, to the point of it being a safety issue.

I understand that it is in the jungle, and I was super excited about all our visitors: squirrels, geckos, lizards, butterflies etc but the wooden deck on our villa was rotting away. I walked across the deck and my foot went right through, luckily I didn't hurt myself but someone else might because other planks were just as bad.

Of course when we called they came and fixed it right away, but its really beyond patch up repairs and if we'd kept walking on the deck there would have been more issues.

I can't speak for the other villas obviously, maybe the others are better maintained.

The restaurant and breakfast were ok, and the view was incredible. If they could fix all the rotting railings and decking (wood rots in the jungle, it needs to be replaced eventually) I would be raving praises about this hotel because the staff truly are lovely. I just felt unsafe so that we couldn't use our deck area, and on the wooden walkways down to the restaurant and the main pool we had to keep to the support beams because its all so wobbly.

The free shuttle into Ubud is very useful and we used it many times.

We did enjoy our stay as the location saves this hotel, and if they would just spend some money on maintenance it would be the most beautiful and romantic little hotel. My review honestly would have been 5 stars if everything was in good repair.

We spent 5 days at this beautiful nature filled resort! Food was good, we had a 2 room villa with a jacuzzi!
Staff were always friendly and helpful.
The massages were heaven and the infinity pool looked out into the forest.
The Natura was very comfortable and if there was a drawback it was that there is a need to spend some money to refresh the resort. We had a great relaxing time .

My family and I had a fantastic time staying at this resort. The staff were friendly and only too happy to help. Good restaurant on-site with regular shuttles into Ubud. Beautifully situated in the jungle, it was a great place to retreat to after the hustle and bustle of inner Ubud.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days at the end of our Bali holiday. The hotel is set in the most amazing jungle location, on the edge of a deep valley with a river running along the valley floor. The jungle is wonderfully lush with plenty of fauna including lizards, toads, frogs, geckos, birds, squirrels and monkeys. We had monkeys visit us at breakfast one morning as well as in the trees just outside our villa while we sat in the private spa. The kids loved it. The hotel provides a free shuttle into Ubud town which we used often, the staff were all very friendly and the main pool has amazing views into the jungle. We ate at the restaurant a few times with the food being ok but dearer than in Ubud town which is usually the case with hotel restaurants. This is a great spot to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of tourist destroyed Ubud town. However, this resort has dated room interiors and desperately needs large sums of money spent on maintainence. We were told by staff that it was built in about 2005 and owned by a Frenchman but looks like it could be much older than this. Also, we booked a two bedroom villa for the three nights but on arrrival were told that someone else had the villa for the first night which meant that we were given two separate rooms which was not ideal with two kids in tow.

It took us a day to get into the change of scene having had a few weeks by the coast but this was an awesome spot, away from the hussle and bussle of Ubud central yet close enough to pop down if you wanted to. As we had never been to Ubud we spent rather a lot of time away from the resort and it was really only on our last day as we lay by the pool awaiting our driver that we finally got into how delightful this resort is. As other reviews have stated, there is maintenance to be done and this is underway and our room did smell a little musty but everything was beautifully clean and comfortable, if anything the aircon was too efficient! If you are looking for somewhere away from the madding crowds with delightful staff and a stunning outlook then this resort will definitely fit the bill.

Room tip: We loved our room with balcony overlooking the valley (room 15)
