This was my third visit. I encourage anyone visiting in the area or anyone living here to come & visit. It us a chapter in history that few know about world wide and even in Israel.
The museum is lovely. Architecturally beautiful and esthetically pleasant. The guides and employees are all friendly & helpful. This last time i brought my 98 year old mother who is physically handicapped and they were completely accommodating & helpful. Go!!

Thank Yael P

My son and I did the guided tour with Colin, an Australian, now Israeli, who explained the importance and detail of the Battle of Beersheba.

Beersheba stands alongside Gallipoli as one of the two great Australian battlefields of significance in the Middle East theatre. For Australians traveling to Israeli the new museum is a must see.

The victory of simple yet brave ANZAC’s horsemen may be unknown to most Israeli people, nevertheless it is by al means an important milestone in Israel’s history.
The Beer Sheva Memorial Center although “modest” , manages to “touch the soul” of those who can appreciate bravery , camaraderie and grace among ordinary countrymen who left their home , took their horses and went to war.
As an Israeli who has visited OZ so many times I salute to these guys.

We have been to this war cemetery many times but now it has become a place to understand the battle for Be’Er Sheva 100 years ago. The museum has been set out in a way to understand the conditions of the time. Our guide, in English, is very knowledgeable and made the whole experience well worthwhile. Well worth taking time out to visit.

Having recently visited the Great War military cemetery in Be'er Sheva while on a local tour, we were regaled enthusiastically about the adjacent museum facility, so decided on a follow-up exploration by ourselves at the earliest opportunity. We were not disappointed, as the ANZAC memorial center is world-class in its concept, professionalism and imagination in depicting one of the most stellar campaigns of the Great War, involving the Western Allies against the Turkish Ottoman army and their German advisors.
Historically accurate to the ultimate degree, the static displays of artifacts and photographs provide a glimpse of what may be still a little-known theater of World War I in the Middle East, waged to stem the advance of the Axis forces into Palestine and beyond. The narrative follows individual soldiers from their conscription in Britain, or voluntary service in the case of the Australian and New Zealand troops, who were the leading forces in Palestine, after the debacle of the Gallipoli campaign, culminating in the glorious and inspiring charge of the ANZAC Light Horse Brigade in the face of the Turkish guns, overwhelming and dislodging them from the strategic town of Be'er Sheva and its vital water-wells.
This risk-laden campaign, mounted against the advice of the British High Command, ensured the Allied Troops a well-earned place in the history books of this "war to end all wars".
Our short visit ended on a high note with an excellently depicted short film of the "cavalry" Charge (accented here, as the Light Horse Brigade was not actually a Cavalry unit, but assumed the role so as to confuse the German field-gun commanders, who anticipated a customary foot advance).
Wait for the surprise ending of the entire experience... A MUST visit!
