Our Shalom Israel bus tour spent 2 nights here. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are filthy. Dishes in dining room are filthy. Furniture old, and dirty. Food tastes like school cafeteria. Many families with many children, who seemed happy and content. This kibbutz is highly inappropriate for American tourist class.

We toured Kibbutz Lavi with our Holy Land tour group. We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had lunch scheduled. Then our tour guide told us explicitly that they refuse to hire Arabs at the hotel or restaurant because some of their guests prefer not to see Arabs. Well, obviously we didn't eat there! Any hotel which has a racist hiring polity is not somewhere I need to spend money!

Our Israel tour group spent two nights here. The rooms were dirty and there was mold in the shower. The food was probably good if you need to eat glaat kosher meals, but for the rest of us, it was not very good. There was nothing to do in the evenings. The worst part was perhaps the children. The dining room reminded me of a badly supervised school cafeteria. Very young children were running around there and in the hotel halls and public spaces without parental supervision. Simply not the five-star hotel that we paid for.

We are seriously bothered by the fact that two reviewers from the same group wrote reviews that are so different, actually completely different from the vaste majority of feedbacks we get. Not only in Tripadvisor but in a number of other websites, as well as in the feedback forms which many of our guests hand in on leaving, almost all feedbacks are very positive, some even enthusiastic, no matter where the guests came from and if they were on a family vacation or adults travelling in a group. We have inspected the rooms where this specific group stayed but have not found any mold in the bathroom. Kibbutz Hotel Lavi is a four star hotel, and we are renowned for our tranquility, friendly atmosphere and personal service, combined with comfortable and modern rooms. Every one is welcome to try us - and with 99% certainty you will not be disappointed!

As part of our tour of Israel our group spent two nights at the Kibbutz Lavi Hotel. We found the accommodations to be nothing less than filthy. The bathroom had mold growing and the tub was disgustingly filthy. The food was sub par. We complained to our tour company and the hotel tried to rectify the cleanliness but the rooms were remained dirty. There were many children staying at the hotel. The families failed to provide adequate supervision. At one point, a serving utensil fell on the floor, the child picked it up and put it back in the food. We would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

This is a terrific hotel. It is attractive, clean, the grounds are beautiful and the food is fantastic. My wife and I found the staff very helpful and friendly. A couple points worth making is that this hotel caters to the observant Jewish traveler. While everyone is made welcome, nonobservant and non-Jewish guests may be surprised that certain foods, which are not kosher, are not available in the dining room. On the other hand, observant guests will find the food meets very high standards of kashrut, and there is a lovely synagogue in the hotel, and a second one that is part of the kibbutz. While there are activities on site, there is very minimal bus service in the area. If you want to look around this very interesting area, you will probably need to rent a car.
