We stayed two nights in Europa 1917 hotel. The hotel was very lovely in the rooms. It was a little far from the Sea of Galilee- we have been to Tiberias many times and love staying on the water. This hotel is several city blocks from the water. The hotel itself is nice- other than the location

hi.

we enjoyed staying at this renew hotel. we liked the renovated room. the hotel building is very unique, it has been build at 1917 and renovated 4 years ago. when you stay in this hotel you can feel the spirit of tiberias. the food and the hotel staff are excellent!

Room tip: ask for a quiet room and they also have a suite room.

We spent two nights at this recently renovated boutique hotel on a tour of Israel with two other couples. The hotel lies in a convenient location down the street from Hertz Rental Car and about a 10-15 minute walk from the lake. Our hotel room and bathroom were attractively decorated and ample in size. The bed wasn't as comfortable as beds in major chain hotels. The TV was up-to-date and received the major international English language channels. Closet size and drawer space was acceptable. The bathroom fixtures were up-to-date and also user friendly which isn't always the case. Our reservation was half-board (buffet breakfast and buffet dinner). This is the part of our hotel experience we found especially challenging. To begin with, the restaurant could have been quite attractive but it was set up oddly and was very dark, We entered from the side, and it wasn't clear where the front of the restaurant was supposed to be. To be sure, we might have overlooked this design incongruity if the food was tasty.. Our first meal was dinner. I can speak for all three couples in saying that it wasn't appealingly presented and tasted like it had been prepared the night before and sat around. As a result, we bailed on dinner (included in our reservation) the second night in favor of Decks, a restaurant on the Sea of Galilee (Kineret) we highly recommend. The buffet breakfast was unappealing too. The restaurant staff was inexperienced and lacked ability to communicate in English. For example, It took three attempts and 10 minutes for me to determine where the yogurt was situated, and all of us had difficulty obtaining a decent cup of coffee. Two cups came out filled with grounds, The chef also was incapable of properly preparing scrambled eggs as requested, It isn't clear whether this was a language problem. Service overall was inconsistent. One of the couples in our party requested a wake-up call. It never came. My personal belief is that this hotel has strong potential that is unlikely to be realized until management replaces the current staff with employees who have had significant prior experience operating or working for a good hotel and restaurant.

In my opinion, this is the greatest hotel in Tiberias. Although the staff is not so forthcoming they usually accommodate your needs. It's a nice and clean hotel unlike most other hotels in tiberias and is well air conditioned. Would definitely recommend!

I stayed when I toured the Galilee area. the hotel is nice regarding the other options in Tiberias which are not many and the very good ones are very high end. breakfast was very simple and it was not a buffet but they simply dished out to you what they had and it was not special at all,,, disappointing ....
