Anse Volbert is on the north of Praslin, it's a quite long stretch. As we were accommodated near by we used it for morning walks and swim and during the day visited other more beautiful ones.
The beach is affected with low/high tides.

Nice long sandy beach but definatelly not the best on Praslin. Maybe I have a problem since I don't like sand in my swimming costume and I like to swim on thw seaside which is hard here due to the shallow water. But kids loved it.
I do have to recomend the boat trip to neighbouring islands: we got the guys on the beach it self doing it and we decided to do it with them eventhough the hotels said we shouldn't since we might give them money and they won't turn up the next day. But Quentin from "King Creole" was great and the trip was awesome!

A small village by the sea with food stores, ATMs, souvenir stalls, plenty of restaurants, ferry operators and fruit vendors etc

That is a good located beach to take excursions to other island - like Curiose, St. Pierre, Ave Maria and others of marine national park. The beach itself always has a low tide ocean, cloudy water (not clear), algae, but no waves.

I enjoyed this part of praslin and could recognize the white beach. During the snorkling we could see some worms, ray and small fishes in 50m distance to the beach. There are 3 diving center not so far away.
