“Warm Hospitality in a Beautiful 1830 Farmhouse with all modern conveniences”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2009

We hope to return to this absolutely charming, reasonably priced, extremely clean and completely modernized B&B that surpassed any conceivable expectations. It's a perfect idyllic retreat that is very convenient to the major roadway (87). The personable proprietors (Nancy and Dan) make extra efforts to accommodate the needs of their guests. Every possible need is taken into consideration: from the bug spray set out on near the comfortable chairs on the wide porch to the array of items (creams, shampoos, blow dryer, etc, etc, etc.) available in the bath room to the bottle opener, bottled water and other conveniences in the bedroom. The breakfast was served based on our schedule and what a break it was! We were offered a wide array of choices and settled on apple pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit cup, and delicious coffee all served on beautiful fine china in a lovely formal dining room. Our hosts anticipated a need in relation to a medical problem and they went way out of their way to help us find a pharmacy. They were quick to offer restaurant suggestions, maps, directions as well as friendly and warm (but not overbearing) conversation and advice. The experience was topped off (especially for my children) with 2 playful dogs, 2 horses, a bounty of hummingbirds feasting on the porch flowers/feeders and just a lovely vista all around. Our stay at Adirondack Pines B&B was a well-timed respite.

This B&B is an antique (130yo) well-maintained farmhouse. It's clean and well-cared for. It's 5min drive to Schroon lake, 30min to Lake George. The neighborhood has more trees then people. There is no cell-phone service. But there is WiFi. Owners are extremely friendly and we loved their cooking.
We loved the location because it gives you access to NY's Natural Wonders --[-- http://XXX.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.XXX/--] is only 10min away. And the other 2 are closer then from Lake George

The B&B is on gorgeous grounds with beautiful rooms. The owners will go out of their way to make sure your stay is excactly what you had planned. From serving a delcious breakfast to making reservations to helping you find a perfect hiking destination. The price is great especially for the amount of time and attention the owners give you. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who just wanted to escape everyday crazyness. Even if you just walked around the grounds it is a very relaxing place. I have never seen as many stairs as I did in the Adirondack sky. Sure things aren't exactly close but that is the beauty of it. There are two general stores within 5 minutes and resturants within the area that are all very good to eat at.

It is about 20 min from Lake George and an hour from Lake Placid, it is about 6 miles into the woods, and there is no cell phone servie except in the towns. The house has a new bathroom, the living room was clean but th furniture leaves alot to be desired, Master Bedroom is nice, the kitchen is new, the upstairs bedrooms are small one has a twin and one has a futon and twin bed in the same room. (which is claims is a doublebed in the room) The decks are done not by a professional carpenter, and there is exposed wood on the top of the house. It was very buggy, and there is unsightly junk yard type deal further up in the backyard. The owners of the inn are next door, and are very nice and accomodating. Everything was in working order, and clean.

  • Liked — It was clean
  • Disliked — Out of the way and no cell phone service, nothing is close
