Stayed here for a night last October 29 because our first choice, Sunset Haeundae was fully booked on our first night in Busan. The rooms are TINY! you can only put your luggage under the bed because there's no place else. The bathroom is also small too.

Location wise, it isn't so convenient. There's a 7-11 though if you want to eat in the middle of the night but restaurants are around 10-15 mins walk from the hotel.

The hotel is packed with people and the elevators are always full.

The good thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance of Busan train station and the airport bus stops right outside it. The rooms are very clean though small and internet connection is great.

However, the staff weren't very helpful, they even didnt like being asked for help. They spoke really poor English. I tried to speak to them in Mandarin thinking that since it was so close to China and they had lots of Chinese guests they would speak Chinese but they didn't. The staff's ability to speak English is very important since it is very hard to get around the city as most locals dont speak English. Even asking the staff help to write the addresses and names of the places I wanted to go in Korean was too much work for them. There was an occasion when they wouldn't call up the number of the restaurant to go.

The lifts are awful! For such a large hotel they only have 3 lifts and they are packed full and very slow between 9-10am when people are trying to catch breakfast and check out. The two days i stayed there, I had to wait 10-15 mins before I could get into a lift.

If you want to stay near the train station, you should opt for Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1. No. 1 is right next to the train / metro station whilst No. 2 is farther south. No. 2 is situated almost mid-way between two subway stations (namely Busan Station & Jungang Station; the hotel is a bit closer to Jungang Station though). You should expect some walking if you will be mainly travel to/from the hotel using metro.

If you have stayed in a typical Japanese business hotel, you can expect everything is similar in this hotel. The room is small, yet clean and tidy. The bathroom is small and fitted with a tiny bathtub. Breakfast is basic.

Been to Busan several times and have stayed in different Toyoko Inns. There are currently 4 Toyoko Inns at Busan and 2 properties are near Busan Train Station. If you are new to the city I recommend you to stay at the Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 hotel, which is right beside the train and subway station.

It takes about 15 minutes to Toyoko Inn Busan Station 2 hotel and the closest subway station is about 10 minutes by foot. The hotel is same as other Japanese business hotels and there are many single rooms. Check-in is from 4 pm but you can always drop your bags before check-in. Breakfast is provided every morning but it’s pretty simple.

One thing I like about this hotel is that there is a convenience store right beside the hotel. If you need anything you can always run down to the store any time. If you want a clean room with just the basics, Toyoko inn is what you are looking for.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the main street

Great choice, pleasantly surprised how good this place was at the price.

Rooms are predictably small but quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed was precisely to my liking (firm) so if you like an ultra-soft bed you might be disappointed.

Free wi-fi coverage in the lobby and also computers to use if you don't have your own. Can be a nice buzz in the lobby area, good place to meet people.

I'm told the free breakfast wasn't worth getting up for but Paris Baguette was beckoning in any case!

All in all, highly recommended.
