First of all, I need to mention that the staff at this hotel went above and beyond in saving our vacation: We had issues where our original car rental reservation wasn't honored, and the staff at the Ramada Plaza spent 45 minutes of their time finding a company that would rent to us. We're forever grateful that the staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful -- and they made sure to check up on us later to make sure we were doing well after such a stressful start to vacation! We even got a nice reusable bag at the end of our stay.

Now, onto the hotel itself! It feels a bit older, but I kind of loved it in a retro way, especially the lobby bar and fixtures. The room was also really nice. No sound came in from other rooms or from the street. The bed was amazingly comfy and provided me with a good night's sleep. The room/bathroom were both spacious and well-appointed. (One small note, though -- although soap, shampoo, body wash, toiletries, and complimentary water are provided, toothbrush/toothpaste are in the mini-bar and available only if you pay for them. But I'm very cool with that because it cuts down on plastic waste.) The hotel was a quick five-dollar cab ride from the airport -- the driver knew where it was, and navigation was no issue.

All in all, if I find myself in Jeju City again, I will gladly stay at the Ramada Plaza.

Overall I liked the hotel and will probably stay there again. It's not the newest hotel but they keep it clean and nice so no complaints. I only thing that dinner option is a little bit overpriced. No matter if you do a buffet style or hamburger at the bar the price value wasn't good.

I stayed at the Ramada Plaza Jeju over the Christmas holidays and it was fairly comfortable. Although there are some good points, the biggest problems are the stuffy, hot rooms and the crowded parking lot.

First, the good things. The hotel lobby and surroundings are impressive. The winter decorations were excellent. There was a charming winter market going on in the evenings. Check-in was problem-free, except that the underground parking lot was quite crowded (you'll probably want a car when visiting Jeju). It was kind of a pain finding a parking spot.

Staff throughout the hotel was friendly. We used the concierge a couple of times and they were helpful.

The room with the double beds was an acceptable size and seemed clean. There were no problems with housekeeping. The beds were comfortable. The free water bottles and small refrigerator were handy. The TV had some foreign channels, which I appreciated. Soundproofing was just average. The furniture was comfortable.

Unfortunately, the room was extremely hot, which made it difficult to fall asleep. There is only central heating, and in the wintertime you (or the hotel) cannot turn on the air conditioning. After I complained, they sent up a rotating fan, which helped somewhat. However, the room was still quite uncomfortable. Opening the windows helped slightly, but then of course there was noise from the roads. This is a big problem that the hotel needs to fix!

The bathroom was ok. The shower feels slightly cramped when it is closed, but there is also a bathtub. I think that there should be more space around the sink for your things, as there is not much room. The lotion and shampoo and others were good however.

The breakfast buffet was pretty good. It had a nice mix of Korean and other cuisine. Although the menu mostly stayed the same everyday, most of it was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the coffee. The buffet dinner they offered was pricy but pretty good as well. The lamb was great, the sushi not bad. Decent dessert as well. The place gets pretty crowded so just be aware of that.

Check-out on the last day was very easy. Overall, it was a good stay, but if it was wintertime, I would not come back here, as the rooms were very hot and stuffy, which prevented a good nights sleep.

It is a nice 5 star establishment with professionally trained staff. The rooms which we had were facing the city and on the 7th floor. Safety and also hotel amenities match to the stars they have. We love the fact they think of a traveller with charging ports for all devices and also rubber house slippers. The only drawback was the first night we came it was really warm and no ac due to the fact it was winter and they could only activate the heater, staff ran up at 2 plus with a table fan and we are very grateful for. Even a mosquito repellent is given for the rooms should you decide on opening the netting at the window for a more breezier feel. Nearby attractions such as the market, black pork street and also day tours can be arranged.

Thia hotel is horrible stay away!

1) shaking beds. You may not be able to ahem...
2) centralized bloody hot aircond!
3) dog poo breakfast. Only bacons, eggs, fries, cold tofu, packet seaweed, vegetables and rice.
4) slow internet that blocks torrenting!
5) unsecure hotel network that is not password protected.
7) gym that has perfume spray blowing right at your respiratory section when exercise.
8) slow and english dumb hotel staff and services.
9) a lot of nearby restaurants begging you to eat out instead.
10) shower glass door that can cut your leg if you use to open the doors randomly a lot.
11) terrible f&b no plate clean up service. And you need to grab your own tissue paper from a center tray zone!
12) very dry , hot and claustrophobic dining experience.

Good luck if you intend staying here.
