We had a really nice experience at Tengeru Cultural Tourism Centre. Spent one day there, first the Coffee Tour and then Canoing on Lake Duluti. Learned a lot about coffee, people and traditions here in Tanzania. Frank is an amazing Guide and also Reuben and Mama Gladness were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Ahsante sana! The traditional Lunch was amazing and completed a wonderful day. We definitely can recommend!

It was a ton of fun learning about the history of coffee and it's role in Tanzania's economy. Rubben was super nice and a great guide. I would recommend this activity to anyway who has a day in the greater Arusha region.

We have spent 2 great days with Tengeru Cultural Tourism! We did during our first day the coffee tour, followed by the local Meru market! Highly recommended. We were warmly welcomed by Rubben, then Frank, our guide, was really passionate and explained us a lot of interesting things, from the coffee plantation till the roasting of the coffee!
Our second day was the visit of a Maasai village by bicycle. The tour was great and quite intense (more than 50km in total) but definitely worth it! We have spent some time with the Maasai kids and their family, danced with them, etc.
In addition to all of this, the organization will plant a tree for us in a couple of months in a Arusha forest and 65% of the money gave to the Tengeru CTP will go to local organizations, supporting local projects (like the Avocado farmer project)!
Thanks again for everything! Would recommend this programme to anybody!

We did the coffee, market, and lunch tour. Reuben met us at our hotel in Arusha so we could take the dalla dalla to the center! It was a great experience. Reuben provided lots of information on our way. We arrived at the cultural center and were warmly welcomed by Mama Gladness. Our guide Eli then began our tour. We literally made a cup of coffee from scratch. We walked through the coffee field and learned about the plants and harvesting before we began. We shelled the beans, roasted them, ground them, sifted them, and then boiled the grounds for the most delicious cup of kahawa (coffee) ever!!! Following the coffee tour, we had a wonderful homemade lunch at the center...it was delicious and plentiful...the best!!!!! We ended the day with a tour of the local market and a beer at a local outdoor cafe before taking the dalla dalla back to the hotel. I would absolutely recommend visiting the cultural center!!!! I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the company and the many other programs they offer. Thanks so much to Mama Gladness, Rueben, Gifton, and Eli for a great day!!!!

I spent about 4 hours with an in house Eli who was very attentive and knowledgable. He could provide a lot information on the area the types of farming activity which he knew first hand. Lunch and snack were provided - exceptional local food. The experience of brewing your own coffee is well designed and I found it very rewarding.
