This beach is for if you just want to sit on the beach all day and do nothing else. For $10 we got chairs under an umbrella for the entire day, and just hung out until sunset. The beach itself is very calm, no big waves, mostly just Thai families relaxing. The food is ALL seafood, so if you are a vegetarian you'll have to either bring something or else just deal with seafood for the day. If you like seafood, you're in luck. Some of the dishes at the little restaurants are VERY spicy, though!

There's not much in the way of entertainment other than hanging out in beach chairs, but I think that's the idea. We walked around once it got dark and had a drink in one of the restaurants and then took a taxi back to Bangkok.

In my opinion Bangsaen Beach is maybe not the most beautifull, quiet beach in thailand, but i do think it is a very interesting place to see. here you will not have the hordes of foreign tourists as on other beaches in Thailand here you will find a lot of young locals enjoying their free time. all facilities are there, and there always some activities in the weekend like walking street. and one weekend per year the streets of Bangsaen are turned in to a race track. and i think itis a safe Beach

Been there during weekend. Its our lucky day because we reach there early, the whether was good and the water was clear. Soft sand and kids were happy playing sandcastles. Halal foods is available from few stalls which served Thai foods as well as grill chicken. The foods was yummy too!!! A good day to spend the weekend away from Bangkok. About 1 hour drive from Bangkok.

Long beach good for walks and tasting good local seafood. Lying on the beach quite impossible thanks to hundreds of sunbeds. The water is not too clean (brown colour, visibility approx. 1m in depth. The area is full of local people during weekends, but quite without foreigners.
