Santorini is divided into two parks. One is an amusement park, the other is a water park. Yesterday we visited only the amusement park. We intend to visit the water park soon so will do a separate review of that.
The amusement park costs you 50 baht to enter, which is pretty cheap but entry is all it gives. A lot of thai people seem to go there and wander around taking advantage of the many 'photo op' locations, of which the park has provided many.
Its got a greek/spanish/moroccan feel and is quite clean and nice to walk around.
The amusements range from 120 baht to 480 baht per person to ride, so a family with two kids could rack up quite a hefty bill by the time they have finished. The 120 baht ticket buys you three rotations on the ferris wheel, which I felt was over too quickly.
There are some good food outlets which are not too expensive given it's a tourist trap, and a couple of nice tea / coffee hangouts.
There are plenty of shops inside but the prices are very high by Thailand standards. I liked a tee shirt in the Ed Hardy store but could not justify 2100 baht for a cotton print T-shirt. That's even expensive in my own country currency, especially when I know that these T's are made in Thailand and are purchased from the manufacturers for less than 300 baht.
A number of the rides were not operating which was surprising given that its deep in high season right now.
All in all a pleasant enough experience, if you need to kill a couple of hours.
They are similar. When compared, Santorini Park is better than Venezia in Cha-am/Hua Hin. Both charges you 50Bhat, Santorini Park is bigger than Venezia, more to see - - you can take more photos at the Santorini park, such as, visit the trick art museum (from Korea) at 240 Bhat (if I don't remember wrongly), more restaurants, more shops....
Totally wasted my time finding the place n it's overrated. It's not wheel chair friendly. Worth a short visit if passing thru…
The water park, kids luved it. A bit expensive at 700 baht per person but you get into the amusement park & shopping mall for free, normal cost is 50 baht. The smiles & sound of laughter coming from two 12 year old kids was well worth it. Genuinely good experience if not just to have a change from the beach & swimming pool.
It is very easy to find Santorini Park as it is located on the main road heading to Hua Hin. They used to allow free entry on weekday, however, I just went there last Friday and they are now charging the entry fee even on weekday.
There are lots of parking spaces available and you can have fun taking a picture with your love ones. There also some machine for the little kids such as a carousel (the fee is around USD 7 per 5 min. ride, if i'm not wrong), ferris wheel, big water ball that we can go inside, for teenagers such as G-Max Reverse Bungee, G-Max Giant Swing, Wallholla, 4D movie, etc.
There is a new attraction called Trick Art Museum (entry fee around USD 9) where you can take a photo with 3D background. This trick art museum is very popular in Korea.
There is a newly opened Santorini water park located in the same area as Santorini Park, however, you have to pay entry fee separately from Santorini Park but it's worth the money for the family with kids.
