We stayed here for one week in Sept after spending 4days in Hong kong & 2 in Bangkok & was looking forward to a nice relaxing beach resort after the city stays.
Arrived & checked in, staff were lovely & helpful, even when I was not entirely happy with our first room, no major issues, only thing was we were looking over roofs of kitchens which wasnt pleasant, they moved us straight away and young lady from reception came with me to make sure I was happy with new room, much better with garden and sea view.
The resort is huge and very well maintained, pools were lovely, beach not the best but fine for a walk along and very clean, the hotel areas are lovely, very airy and spacious, I was very impressed for what we had paid, room was a little tired but clean and ideal for our needs, staff were friendly and always greeted us.
The hotel was very quiet and we had one side of the pool more or less to ourselves during our stay, we did not have meals in hotel and tended to walk into the small village which has plenty of choice, J & K restaurant, stunning breakfast by far the best, Family restaurant, lovely brothers, made us very welcome and had a great night with live music, superb meals in The Village restaurant, went there several times, amazing food and crazy cheap, lots of nice little shops and bars, lovely relaxing atmosphere and friendly greeting from Gina at corner bar, lovely lady :) get your laundry done by Ruby at the start of road as you come from hotel, another lovely lady and will entice you for "one for the road" on your way back, we used the taxi services, one across from Ruby at start of road and the one beside the supermarket at other end of village, great service from both, we used them to travel into Hua hin for days and evenings out. Had a pedicure, manicure and massage, all good services and nice girls, also have to mention the guys at Seabreeze bar on beach who were very nice and kindly stayed open for us to watch a champions league game that didnt kick off until 01.45 am, thanks again.
We had a fab time at this resort and will definately return, yes it was very, quiet but suited us fine, the shop just outside the hotel is fine for buying any drinks and snacks for room and also do a very nice coffee, we had a lovely chilled week before heading to Dubai for a few days, lookout for the wildlife, saw the huge local Monitor lizard who likes to stroll around the complex, cant miss him he must be 5ft from nose to tail :) huge fruit bats at night, tree shrews, butterflies the size of small birds & oh the odd snake!
