We did the kayak tour combined with Hong Island. It was a small group, lovely tour guide. Very relaxed atmosphere and stunning nature. Nothing to complain, would do it again.

Thank Johanna K

An absolutely gobsmacking experience. We were two of only three people in the afternoon kayaking session! It was like our own private canyon and jungle. The scenery and jungle sounds are amazing and not to be missed!
Jamie was a great tour guide and kayak instructor. He went well above and beyond to show us the sights, tell us about the wildlife and make sure we got some great photos to take away. Thank you for having us.
Make sure you are ready to cover up from the sun with hats, buffs or scarves. We were loaded with sun cream but of course you get a bit wet. We were in the shade for a lot of it but it would be easy to burn. The school provides water and fruit.

Thank you

We explored Ao Thalene with sea kayak Krabi and it was a fantastic experience. We took an afternoon slot - which was much less busy than the morning with only 3 people booked.

Jamie, our guide, was interesting, funny, knowledgeable about the area and a joy to be with.

The scenery was absolutely stunning - we saw much wildlife including monkeys, crabs, birds and fish.

Of all the booked trips during our time here, this was by far the best!

We ended up booking a day tour kayaking around Ao Thalane purely because we had a few days with no plans yet, and were looking for activities to do in Krabi. This unexpectedly turned into the highlight of our two week trip!!! As we were the only ones to have booked a day tour that day, we essentially had a private guide (Kung) who was brilliant and took us to wonderful places and timed everything such that we barely encountered another soul! The diversity of the landscapes we traversed ranged from the typical stunning cliffs of the area, to a sandbank covered in crabs out in more open waters, to mangrove forests and incredibly beautiful caves. We even found a hidden, entirely empty beach for a bit! Everything was just so intensely beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, that it really blew our minds.

We had some great animal encounters along the way too: we met monkeys, mud skippers, a variety of birds, and countless tiny, adorable crabs, and listened to oysters repeatedly snapping their shell close in the distance, and furious insect concertos high up in the cliffs.

The lunch provided was served right by the sea, shaded by palm trees, and was plentiful, varied and super tasty, plus they kindly accommodated my pescetarian (meat free) diet despite the short notice.

Overall, it's a great activity for the hot days too, as you're mostly in the shade of the trees growing right by the banks along which you're travelling, and the sea water breeze is very refreshing. Just make sure to put your sun screen on *after* taking off your trainers as you go out to the kayak (as you'll be bare foot whilst in it!) - my boyfriend didn't and managed to madly burn the tops of his feet whilst kayaking, making the following days less than fun ;D
