i came to this restaurant with my partner after being recommended it by a friend who lives in patong and we weren't disappointed. the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated and the staff are polite. we managed to get a table on the open fronted balcony area with wide views over patong bay. i had the tom yung goon soup which was the best i had in my month long stay in the area. my partner had pad thai which she really enjoyed. i would recommend you visit this restaurant if your in the area

We visited after sampling some of the other restaurants in Paton. Our pick of the ones we visited by far. A little out of town around the bay you know you are somewhere special as soon as you walk in the door. The views are great, we arrived early so we could take in the views and the sunset. It was not crowded and we got a seat on the balcony overlooking the water. Lots of selfie ops with the family before eating. Service was prompt and efficient, range of meals was good and everyone commented that it was the best food we had so far. Price was great too. For 5 diners we had 9 dishes and 6 drinks for under 2000 baht. Loved it, Will definitely come again. Easily grabbed a passing tuktuk back into patong at the end.

We came as a group of 10. This is a 15 min drive from south of kamala beach and a 15 mins drive north of Patong.

A gorgeous Thai local restaurant that serves traditional Thai delicacies. Romantic, relax and fun. Bill came up to about 10-20 USD per pax.

The view of the sea was calm and the nightlights of patong gave the place a magical feel. Highly recommend it!

Why no 5 star! The dessert menu was non existent. We expected some Thai desserts like thab thim trob, mango sticky rice but all they had was ice cream.

We found this spot whilst on our way to Patong from the Kalima Resort. Lovely spot with an amazing view. The food was lovely and the menu has plenty of options. Staff were very friendly and great service. A little on the expensive side (close to Australian price) but definitely worth the money not only for the stunning view of the bay but the real non tourist style Thai food.

Whilst we have been having perfectly lovely food in Phuket I was looking forward to a place where they took it up a notch and Pan Yaah delivered. The dishes were just that little more authentic, the flavours had just that little bit more depth, the ingredients clearly that little bit better quality and put together with more finesse, all presented with more skill and thought.

There were 5 of us dining, including an adventurous ten year old and one adult that is the opposite but all tried most dishes were satisfied with what we chose. The food is a lot spicier than you would find at most of the cheap and cheerful restaurants that aim to please the masses and that was probably something to bear in mind. Even those that were not used to this appreciated the flavours even if they struggled to have more than a mouthful of some of the dishes. It pushed everyone a little beyond their usual comfort zone but that's what dining should be about.

Myself, I love spicy food and had been hankering for what we have been eating elsewhere but without it being dulled down as is often the case. Both the pork in a spicy prawn paste and the Tom Yum Kung were absolutely what I had been after with the later being very spicy but just so tasty.

The restaurant itself is lovely, the all wood interior and the open sides looking out over the bay that is Patong Beach. Whilst you could walk from Patong it's a short taxi ride and after spending a few hours in the zoo that is sometimes Patong Beach it is a welcome respite. The service was fine, efficient and generally with a smile but definitely not as intimate as some places we have eaten.

It is more expensive than the aforementioned cheap and cheerful restaurants but not overly so. Where we have been spending about ฿2,000 for dinner, this was around ฿2,500. I would highly recommend taking the time to spend a little more on at least one or two meals whilst in Phuket and Pan Yaah is an excellent choice. Recommended.
