Stayed here December and January 2015/2016. Great place to stay clean hotel rooms done everyday had a balcony on mine got early morning sun. Breakfast very good. The best thing about the place are the staff who are excellent could not be more helpful. A lovely little hotel off the beaten track but close enough to make it easy to get around. I will definitely return.

Room tip: Rooms second floor and above best I would say

I recently spent 56 nights at the Little Moon Residence. I have nothing but positive comments about my stay. The owner and his staff are professional, helpful and friendly. My room was cleaned daily without issue. The WiFi was superb. I could watch HD movies and make Skype video calls. The air-conditioning unit was also very good. It was easy to control the temperature and fan speed. The king-size bed is equipped with a firm mattress. The lobby and bar, Le Balto, offers a variety of beverages, including coffee, spirits, beer and soft drinks. Food offerings include a full breakfast, chicken panini and croissants.

The location of the hotel provides a more quiet and relaxing environment than what you find closer to the beach area. Patong Beach is an easy 15 minute walk. The Jungceylon shopping mall and Bangla Road are 20 minutes away by walking. Tuk-tuks and taxis will get you there very quickly.

Thanks to all of the staff at Little Moon for making my stay very enjoyable.

Stayed with friend in this hotel for 3 days on October 22,2015. Room price is cheap for room this big.. we book classique room with balcony..but bad thing is placement for ac is in on the side of bed which facing directly to our face.. so it's really not comfortable. Also bed and pillow really hard. We rent motorbike from the hotel for 200 bath (reasonable price). But don't book tour from here price really expensive. We were traveling to aonang krabi after this place, so we book transport from this hotel, the man downstairs said it's only go till krabi town so we need to get other transportation from there. When the minivan come to pick us up, we talk to driver they said they do go to aonang and all other passengers also go there. We were so surprised bout this, so we ask them to take us there also, after bargaining with the driver we agree to pay another 100 bath so he take us till aonang. What upset me is when I ask other passenger how much they pay its really less then what we pay. So if u want tour or other arrangements do search from outside, it's cheaper.

The hotel room was immaculate and everything we required from a room. The price was incredibly cheap for 5 nights stay. There was air-con, the bed was a great size and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The shower could have been better as it was not contained and wet the bathroom floor and the toilet area.

My partner and I liked that it was away from the main centre as the Patong strip was too touristy for us (especially as we had just been to Chiang mai were it was much more relaxed and we come from a tourist town in the UK). The manager Eric and the owner were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit that would be of our interest as well as helping us find a cheap deal for scuba activities (just make sure you check the weather conditions before you commit) as well as restaurant recommendations.

The hotel has excellent coffee you can purchase from reception and enjoy on the balcony, much better than the instant stuff you get in the hotels in Thailand. This was only a 10 minute ride to the main shopping mall on the Patong strip where there was night markets, lots of choices of restaurants as well as a good selection of shops. Be prepared to pay a minimum of 200 Baht as standard for just short rides in taxis and red cars. There were no traditional tuk tuks. Expect big sub woofers and colourful lights coming from the red car taxis.

An added bonus was the taxi driver named Pung just on the corner (normally sat outside the 7/11 only a minutes walk from the hotel) who ended up being our driver for the duration of our stay. Whilst we found Patong too touristy compared to other places in Thailand we enjoyed Karon Beach (it was quiet and beautiful) which was a short ten minutes ride away from Patong in a car. There was also a Shisha place around the corner (5 mins walk) with EVERYTHING on their menu to enjoy. One downside is that the main street was still under development. We had visited during rainy season which meant that the drainage on the roads couldn't handle the downpour which meant humungous puddles however it was still in the majority lovely very hot and humid weather with sunshine.

If you like cabaret and lady boys Simon's cabaret was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and a key landmark for taxi drivers to drop you off hen returning from the town.
