We returned on 01 May after 16 glorious nights atThe Diamond Cliff and we never want to leave.
From the beautiful Reception area, the welcome drink and speedy way they transport your luggage to your spacious rooms, it's just so good to be here.
The hotel is built into a cliffside so the rooms are spread out but they do provide a shuttle bus to get you up those hills to your rooms, but this usually stops around midnight. They also provide a courtesy minibus into the centre of Patong at 6,7,8and 9 o'clock but you have to book your place through reception.
We booked a Diamond room but prefer to stay in a smaller room (1303) overlooking the middle swimming pool as it's just a few steps to the pool for us.
The rooms are traditional Thai style with lots of dark wood and the beds are massive! Complimentary white towelling robes, slippers and flip-flops are provided as are 2 bottles of water per day. In room mini-bar and satellite TV. You also get given a voucher for 1Kg of fruit per stay and the girl in the fruit shop will prepare your choice of fruit to your liking.
There are 3 swimming pools to choose from. The larger pool up the top has a swim up bar, waterfall and slide and snacks are available, towels are provided.
The middle pool has a kids area, towels and is right...We returned on 01 May after 16 glorious nights atThe Diamond Cliff and we never want to leave.

The middle pool has a kids area, towels and is right next to the main restaurant area. Every evening, they have a seafood BBQ around the pool which smelled delicious!
The bottom pool is across the road at beach level, again towels provided and they have a restaurant there also, this is the best one for the breeze, but the beach itself is very rocky.
They have 5 restaurants to choose from, all different nationalities.
There is a small gift shop and a tailor shop on site for your suit in a hurry!
There is a small internet area, gym and games room, they even have their own medical area with a nurse in attendance for any medical problems.
The hotel is at the quiet northern end of Patong Beach but only a 10-15 minute stroll into the madness of Patong, or you can get a tuk tuk from outside the hotel which will cost your 200Baht.
We were given a birthday cake as it was our friends daughters 25th birthday which was a nice touch ( and we didn't have to organise this, it was just done !)
All in all, a lovely hotel, great staff and we found them to be totally trustworthy, all smiles and their English so much better than my Thai!
Exchange rates in Patong were £1= 51Baht and $1 = 31Baht.
Cost of DVD's 60Baht and same for CD's.
200 Cigs at Bangkok: 500Baht, 2 litres of whisky: 1000 Baht.
Go and have a great holiday!More
