My husband and i just spent 10 nights at the Burasari Resort and it was an ideal location as it was so close to markets, beach, shops, massages, activities and night life! We really loved the big breakfast each morning and the juice bar next door (we had many different flavours) its a good lunch if you've had a big brekky!!! We thought the look of the hotel was great its a bummer you can't stop the street smell from coming in the restaurant area (its really a turn off at times) but as soon as you go out into the streets you are confronted with all kinds of smells and sights! The room was a good size but if you are staying longer a bigger room would be better we stayed in a premier classic on level 3 we didn't really have a view of anything bar the roof tops so if thats important to you ask when you book for a view of the pool. Now to the cleanliness of the room the first few days when the maids cleaned the room they did a fabulous job we even tipped them however when my husband came down with food poisoning on the 5th day of holiday he stayed in bed for nearly 24hrs so i watched the lady clean the room as my husband slept and i can honestly say that i was grossed out as she used the same rags for wiping surfaces down as she used to clean out the glasses we used for drinking. From that moment on i boiled bottled water and cleaned them myself!! Its very easy to get sick and i think everyone needs to practice safe cleaning ethics. Apart from that the pool area is lovely and the pool bar and pool tables are a really good addition to the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the restaurant are quieter as the staff are up round 4am getting ready for brekky and if you want a quieter room again get a premier classic not a classic as they are nearest to the a/c units which are very noisy (a family member was in that room and found it hard to sleep)

I stayed at the Burasari for 8 nights in October 2010, I hadn't written a review until now but felt by the negative comments i needed to!
We booked through a uk tour operator and were met at the airport by a guide who transferred with us to the hotel in a registered taxi. She obviously was working for the tips but was friendly and helpful to have someone on the journey to share ideas with.
Check in at the hotel was simple, we were met by friendly staff with a welcome cocktail, upon being told our room wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours (it was 8am!) they stored our luggage for us happily.

We were unfortunate to have been allocated one of the few bad rooms (premier room) in the hotel, at the far back, in the corner. So the view consisted of the kitchen and a rain sheet covering some light building work (this was 2010) nevertheless the room itself was beautifully decorated and lovely bathroom facilities. The beds were very comfy too. The tv always had a wide range of english tv and films which was good for the rainy days.

We made use of the breakfast at the hotel everyday which although consistent, was great everyday. Eggs were made to request and had a selection of continental and full english breakfast,
The grounds of the Burasari are outstandingly well kept, the staff work really hard to maintain them. They have a resident parrot called Paxo who is a delight to talk to in the mornings on the walk to breakfast!
The location was perfect, down a side street but footsteps from the beach (public) and seconds away from the hustle and bustle.

We made little use of the pool and pool bar as constantly were out and about so cant comment on those aspects, in my opinion there is too much to see in Thailand to do this all day!

I celebrated a birthday while at the hotel and thanks to my other half I was surprised by a complimentary birthday delivered to the room, a lovely touch!

I had a wonderful stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We just returned from our 7th trip to Thailand and our 7th stay at this hotel. Friendly staff - everyone acknowledges you as you pass them, even the maintenance crew. Outstanding breakfast, Very good quality linens, Comfortable beds. All in a great location.

Definitely recommend.

Stayed 7 nights at the Burasari and it was ideal for our needs. The Burasari is smaller than some of the big complexes popular in Phuket and this suits us perfectly, beautifully kept gardens, pool and Thai decore makes for a lovely escape. We stayed in a premier room which was clean and modern with king bed. Lovely inclusion is provision of free mini bar items each day - soft drinks, 1 can of beer and some nibblies. Breakfast included was really nice, with good range of choice. We loved the central location, close to beach and shopping, but able to retreat to your oasis for respite. Only drawback would be the pools are beautifully landscaped but don't provide much room for sun lounges, so access can be tricky - in that case walk 100 metres to Patong Beach where sunlounges are in abundance. Some rooms have balcony with day bed and direct pool access - maybe next time!!

Room Tip: for something special go for the pool access rooms

This hotel is quite nice visually, however my partner and myself had a few issues whilst staying here. If you order drinks whilst at the pool bar or sitting by the pool, make sure the staff bring you the bill immediately. We had one staff member who didnt know what was goingon and accused us of stealing drinks! Money is king over there, so be aware of what you have paid for and keep records. There are also no where near enough sun beds by the pools for all guests. We counted round 20 beds in total, however there are hundreds of rooms. The beds are also really really hard. We had to get house keeping to softening them numerous times before we could sleep. The rooms facing the road are quite noisy aswell. The female house keeping staff are quite confrontational aswll, one staff member slapped my partner on the bum infront of me, called him a sexy man and ran away. Very unprofessional. The hotel is in a good location and the gardens etc are quite pretty. Also note, that there are open drains all outsidethe hotewhich smell disgusting! Ever time you walk outside the hotel be prepared to smell sewage. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.
