We stayed for 4 days in feb 2011.. Rooms are absolutely awesome, though garden view suite was alloted but it was worth the money.. pool setting was excellent.. balu's bar excellent.. but one disappointment was that restaurant menu was limited to primarily thai food only.. Few delicacies of indian origin could have made the stay more comfortable..
i believe hotel management can do much with their beach front.. it need more inputs on cleanliness and sportive fronts..
however i still recommend to all the couples who want to spend the time in phuket away from hustle bustle of the town and want to have quality services..

The hotel and setting are fabulous. The spa is the thing that will stopped you ever going anywhere else in the world. Once you have been you will dream of going back. Tic does the most expert trained beneficial massage.
Laying by the pool with it's wonderful views is also good for mind and body. The best staff I have ever come across on my travels.

This is a great hotel for a relaxing stay. It is most exceptional and what made our stay worthwhile was the friendly staff and top service provided from the Yim Siam Service counter to the restaurant. Definitely 5 star service, here.

As the tides were low during our stay, it made the Lady Anita and speed boat trips difficult in the days we were at the resort so we didn't quite get the same package but managment were quick in providing alternatives. Kids had a ball at the pool which was clean and nice to swim in. They also enjoyed the free kids club. Overall, we had one of the most relaxing stays in Phuket!

The new year's party was on the pricey end but it was well worth it for the experience because a lot of time and effort was made by the resort to provide the theme, music and activities, wine and champagne, lantern lighting and fireworks. What a great way to welcome the new year.

I can understand one of the email frustrations about the beach even though I am not a beach person. Some suggested improvements could be to clean up the beach front area to make it more asthetically pleasing. Also, I would suggest covering up more of the food to keep away from insects. As there are no dining options outside the hotel, I suggest adding more and nicer variety to breakfast, lunch and dinner options. But these negatives should not detract from what was a really enjoyable stay at the hotel.

This is one of the best service boutique hotels in Phuket. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing time in Phuket.

I stayed at Serenity Resort and Residences with a friend for his 50th birthday. I travel the world a lot , and I must say this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service standards are good - the hotel staff went out of their way to keep us smiling. The hotel is beautifully designed, the rooms are astounding and extremely well kept and the views are breath taking . The East 88 beach Lounge is one of the coolest places I have seen - chic' yet non pretentious, relaxing yet not overly subdued, and the food there was good . We also joined a sunset cruise of the hotels yacht the Lady Anita - wow !! what an experience...one of those memories that will stay with us forever. the combination of the views around ,the cool breeze and drinks and the music the dj played…just perfect moments , making us sorry this day has ended..
Would be nice if the hotel had some kind of transportation to central location in phuket…. So...we loved the hotel, we will be back next year for family trip, and we recommended the hotel to anyone looking for a special hotel experience.

I stayed at this resort over the Christmas and New Years holidays and had a fantastic time.
The suite, facilities and spa was all excellent. All the staff are very friendly and competent, albeit sometimes a bit slow at the restaurant.
Food and drinks are great and reasonably priced compared to other luxury resorts in Phuket.
A special mention for Lady Anita, the magnificient 27 m. sailing yacht. One of the best I have ever seen!
Can highly recommend this resort.

What you read is what you get….

Serenity is as described by the other reviews, except for a few unfair or naive comments but more about that at the end of our review.

Serenity is a new and luxury resort in Rawai away from the hectic and chaos of the other parts of Phuket like the Patong area. If you want to party all night, Serenity is not the place to be. If you on the other hand prefer a more quiet place - still only a cab ride away from the other areas - Serenity could be a good choice for you like it was for us.

Rooms: we stayed 7 nights in room 810, a big two-bedroom apartment directly located in front of the swimming pool. The room was comfortable and well decorated. Living room, bedroom and bathroom are all very spacious.

Restaurant: breakfast is good and with enough choice. The menu for lunch and dinner has a good variety of both Thai and international dishes, all very tasteful. Prices are slightly higher than in the local village but that is not unique for Serenity.
The Christmas party was well organized with good food, drinks and music!

Bar: good selection of drinks for very reasonable prices with a snack during happy hour.

Pool area: located between the restaurant and bar. The pool is big enough and the number of sun-beds sufficient if you include the rooftop terraces. Christmas was the first time with almost full occupation rate and management reacted very fast ordering additional beds.

The staff:
The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient, both at arrival as well as dealing with requests or issues.

Stephan (the F&B manager) has a good team and is clearly coaching them on the job to achieve high standards. The guys behind the bar are friendly and efficient. Others in the bar/restaurant area like Mam, Panjaree (hope I write this correct) and Micky took good care of us, making our stay one to remember. The C (P)ool attendant Wan is everywhere at the same time and even supporting the others during peak time.

One critical note and that is about Urs (the GM). In most accommodations the general managers are invisible, in some they support the staff in taking care of the customers. Urs on the other hand is visible but very selective in who he interacts with and doesn’t seem to be a very emphatic person (to customers and employees). No, I’m not complaining about lack of attention, this is just observing human behavior.

Then the - in my opinion unfair - comments from other reviewers:
- The furniture is not old and in excellent condition.
- Sea view from some rooms is limited. If people take the time to review Tripadvisor I would assume they also take the time to check the website of the accommodation. On those pictures its clear to see how the buildings are situated.
- Loud music in the evening. Yes there is music in the evening (live band or DJ), but it is only till 11 PM and even in apartment 810 (direct at the pool side as I wrote) this was not an issue with the windows closed.

Would we go back? Yes I think so, but it depends on the pricing. We now profited from a promotion price during the first year, which made it good value for money. The current prices were even below those of the Hilton in Karon, which definitely is a hotel with lower standard. At the other hand Serenity is also not a serene, spa like place to chill out. Especially around the holidays it was more a family “thing”. But that’s clear if you read the reviews and should not surprise anybody.
