This hotel is worth a try. Looked at reviews before we went and thought oh my, what have we let ourselves in for!!!! Well value for money it was great. I think some people want 5* but only want to pay 3* prices. Yes the bedrooms need an update but they were cleaned everyday and the beds changed once a week and fresh towels every other day. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. The animation team were great. Activities all day if you wanted to join in. Food was good and 2 themed restaurants you could go in. One Italian and one Tunisian. There were people there selling you trips. The camel trip is well worth ago. Very friendly, even gave me a T-Shirt so I could have a laugh back home saying I have a new job!!!!! As is the quad biking. . We went in October but I could imagine it is rather busy in the height of the season. As is the case with most resorts. Everything is reasonable priced. Only down side is you now have to pay an exit visa of £11.00 and wasn't informed until we got there!! But that is the travel agent's fault not the hotel. Is a bit noisy of a night with music but finishes just after 10. The main noise is people slamming doors. The hotel might want to have a look at doing something, like slow closing doors. Might worth taking mosquito sprays and creams as they were a bit too nippy when we was there!!!! All in all a lovely holiday and would go back.

Room tip: Pool view.

We visited Houda hotel last summer and spent really nice holidays. Acceptable rooms, a little damp though, nice variety of food. The is however to avoid, dirty. Animation especially in the evening is a big weakness, to take into consideation

Never disliked such a hotel I am not one of these people who need a lot to make me happy but this certainly was one awful hotel we were told on arrival that we had been upgraded wow we thought oh me if this was upgraded I don't know what our room was like before hand anyway we had this 2 rooms with a door inbetween and no balcony just one window which looked out to a sewer and the smell and noise was so disgusting, we had been to the sahara beach the year before and we was spoilt so this was just not what we wanted for our holidays not much in the way of shops but if you go out of the big gates at the front there is a lovely huge shop that you can buy loads of things you will need, but be careful as we were not left alone by the guys in the horse and carts.

rooms were not clean and definitely there was beasties in the room was bitten very badly and had to get antibiotics when got home.
food was ok, waterpark was good, pool ok.

The Houda is a very good value hotel and you get much more than you pay for. Accepted it looks a little tired in places and the location isn't the greatest but the food and the staff are excellent and for a break it's well worth it.

We went as a family of four over Easter for one week and didn't have any complaints.

The rooms are okay if a little tired and do need an upgrade, but they are cleaned every day and are spotless. The beach is lovely and the pool area is nice and tidy and we never struggled for sunbeds.

The clientele are a mix of English, French and German.

The entertainment isn't great, but you don't have to watch it if you don't want to. The bar area is large and there are plenty of places to sit.

The food really is the winner though. There is so much variety and choice and it is excellent. One evening they even had a whole tuna which they sliced and grilled for you.

The location isn't great but a taxi anywhere is cheap and you are only 15 mins from Sousse for shopping etc.

Would I go back, yes. Would I do two weeks, probably not but a winter break definitely.
