This holiday was booked last minute but be aware that there are a few El Mouradi hotels, three as I know within a short distance from each other, we were actually dropped by the coach driver at the El Mouradi Club and had to get a taxi next door but one to the El Mouradi which was behind another El Mouradi hotel. This was not an expensive hotel and as I said you get what you pay for.

The hotel is spread out but only ground floor, first and second floor high. We were in room 1198 which was first floor, quite a walk but suited us as it is in a quiet location, facing the beach; gardens immediately in front. The hotel corridors are carpeted and these could probably have done with an good clean and were worn in places but at least with carpets it keeps then noise level to a minimum. The rooms are so carpeted, good size wardrobe, bathroom, corridor and door to bedroom. There is no safe in the rooms but these are available at reception not sure of the cost as we did not use these. There is air con but not great. There is a TV in the room but did not use this. There is also a fridge.

There is one restaurant and food is also served at the beach bar, this is the only two options, I think they served cake in the bar in the afternoon but not sure if this was every day.

The only option for food at the beach bar was paninis, chips and pizza, no salad or fruit and no other option, the server did not like anyone deviating from the pre prepared paninis and for some reason all contained tomato ketchup.

The main restaurant was open 06:00 until 10:00 for breakfast, 12:30 until 14:00 for lunch and 18:00 until 21:00 for dinner.

Breakfast consisted of porridge, cheese, bread, scrambled egg, fried potatoes, some mornings you had the option of grilled tomatoes, peppers and frankfurter sausages also you could queue and be served fresh omlettes, fried eggs and pancakes; cereals were also available if you wanted pink corn flakes.

If you went at 12:30 for lunch you were queuing at the door, the lunch consisted of hot meats and potatoes, cold salads, cakes, bread and fruit.

The evening meal was similar to lunch but there was also two chefs; one cooking different fresh meats, etc and the other cooking pizzas; the pizza chef was very nice and would cook you a pizza with your choice of toppings if you asked.

I did find that the food was ok but limited, the salads were mixed and I had difficulty due to an onion allergy, same with the vegetables.

I only saw ice cream two evenings and no other time.

One good thing about the restaurant is that the waiter reserved our table at lunch and dinner so we did not have to try to find a table every time, he used to be there and fetch our drinks when we arrived. We did tip but he did provide good service.

Apart from beer the only place that served alcohol is the bar in the hotel, the beach and pool bars only serve soft drinks, tea and coffee. This means if you want a glass of wine with your lunch no point in going to the beach bar. This became an issue when someone round the pool was drinking alcohol and this is served in glass and the glass was knocked over and broken. If alcohol was served in the beach or pool bar, in plastic glasses this would not have happened. We did hear that there is a soft all inclusive offer which is minus the alcohol but not sure if this is available at this hotel so be mindful of this when you book.

There is towel service for the pool and beach with a 10 dinar deposit but I did not use this service.

There is a 2 dinar charge for the mattresses for the sunbeds which both the pool and beach staff provide, someone said that you needed to obtain a ticket from the change kiosk in reception but we just paid turboprop or beach guy in cash.

There are two swimming pools, one near the entertainment and one quieter pool, these seem to be kept clean and well maintained, depths clearly seen, wide steps down in both pools and cordoned areas for children on both. Both pools are in sections by buoys and ropes.

There is a small entertainment team that do the usual yoga, water aerobics, beach volleyball, water volleyball, darts etc in the daytime and the usual sketch shows and audience participation shows and as far as I could tell the most number and strangest club dances.

There is the usual supermarket on site selling limited supplies of beach wear, etc but it is quite expensive compared to the supermarket just a short walk out of the front entrance of the hotel.

Just wanted to praise the porter, reception staff, waiters in the restaurant, maids and bar staff who went above and beyond to make everyones stay enjoyable.

There was a lot of different nationalities at this hotel and very few English.

There is an indoor pool but this had no water in when we were there and as far as no know was only filled in winter. There is spa services available.

Having stayed here many times and have always had the best holiday experience. This two week stay was by far the worst.
We appreciate and knew before hand that not too many ‘English ‘ people would be there since the airlines are only just returning to Tunisia. However the hotel was in chaos at meal times. Pushing and shoving. The clientele were rude, selfish, ungrateful and had dirty habits.( grabbing the food with hands and not using the servers provided, they ‘fingered the foods in the displays and this made us unable to eat what was provided) yuk. I’m afraid this has made us realise that any future holidays in Tunisia we will not be staying in this hotel. It saddens me how our lasting memories of this hotel are ones that aren’t remembered with fondness. The other English ( two ladies) couldn’t wait to go home. Very sad indeed. Sorry El Mouradi... you’ve gone way down in our estimation.

Well....
where can I start with this one!
I absolutely love this place and it was all down to the amazing staff!
From the management to the bar staff to the fantastic animation team.
I was the only British person in the hotel and the management were always going out of their way to make sure I was having a good holiday..
We all had an amazing time especially my little boy who loved everyone there also.
Always lots to do and the animation team done a great job at keeping us entertained!
Can’t wait to visit again next year.
I didn’t actually mind being the only British person there, it was great for us all to meet people from different country’s and connect with them
Thank you for making our holiday fantastic

Hotel is in Port, nice and quiet place. Rooms are ok, tv, fridge, ac. Bathroom is nice and spacious. Closet is very big. We had very nice views from our room. It can be busy in restaurant. Food os ok, nothing special. All staff is very nice and helpful.

This is a filthy place that’s don’t care about anything and they seem that they don’t care about their guests... everything is disgusting just how the pic are taken
First they made us wait for 2 hour till the room is ready we walk in the room and this is what we see and when we tell the front desk they say 30 min and it will be ready and it still wasn’t ready and still things are on the floor and the fridge has old water bottles and the staff is so ignorant and don’t want to help my recommendation to never go to a place like this

This is so sad worst trip ever
