This was my first time to Tunisia and I was very impressed with this hotel, despite previous reviews. This hotel is in a great location, close to the marina and shops. It is very clean and every single member of staff was full of manners. Stayed half board so can't comment on the lunch however breakfast and dinner were really nice, full of choice. I only stayed a week so the food didn't get too samey however I could see that it might after 2 weeks. During dinner you are seated at the same table for the duration of your stay but at breakfast you may sit anywhere. No shorts at dinner though.
The rooms are lovely and seem rather spacious surprisingly. We were on the fourth floor and the view was great. Even though my mum who I travelled with is scared of heights, she still enjoyed the view. The complementary robes were lovely, bit on the heavy side but really warm. The cleaners always did a good job.
In regards to a previous review "Care home for the elderly" yes, there are a few people of the older generation however to say it is a care home is harsh. As a teenager i still found the hotel really good. I would say that this hotel does cater more for the elderly, with very little for young children to do but I feel that this is a place where people go to escape our British winter. Hence why you find many who have stayed here for 3 months or more. Although I found that as I was leaving alot more children started to arrive. There is a games room, although some of the machines are rather old so only used it for table tennis.
The outdoor pools were lovely although never used them as they were a bit too cold but used the indoor pool. This was warm and clean. The fitness room seems cheap and decent however never used it personally.
The irish pub is worth a visit. Next to the hotel, it is part of the complex, visitors and locals from outside the Kanta can both use it. It has slightly more entertainment with football and karaoke and music although as said before, no Guinness.
Would I stay here again? Almost certainly. A lovely hotel with lovely staff, food and a great location.

This holiday was our first without our daughter who is know 20 so didnt need a hotel with a kiddies club. This hotel is in a very good location for the marina and the shops. The hotel was very clean and the staff was full of manners. We were greated on arrival with a nice refreshing drink while checking in. The food is very nice and the choice is very wide so no going hungry. The resturant staff are very nice and will look after you during your stay. Lunch can be taken at the pool side bar also and once again the food is very good and you can see it been cooked. The pools are very nice and staff go round fetching drinks and ice cream to you while tan topping no need to get of your bed. I have read one review heading care home for the elderly. I have to say I find that very harsh yes one or two people were on the old side but we will all get old so should we give up going on holiday once we retire ?. Great hotel people fantastic will be going back once again.

Please don't stay here if you are under the age of 60yrs as it is full of elderly people with zimmers, who can ballroom dance to bad keyboard music. The hotel is clean and you can get a good nights sleep. The food is average, a bit greasy and the same every night. We had to pay to have a game of tennis. The location itself is struggling. The locals weren't very welcoming, and we are sick of cat calls not nice. Won't be coming again

We met people staying here who had visited every year for over a decade...and can see why.

Great location close to the Marina

Friendly, efficient staff

General cleanliness and facilities good.

We stayed half board and were not disappointed at any meal. Look out for breakfast omelettes and pancakes and creme caramel at dinner.

P.E.K. not too busy at this time of year.

Chose this hotel, partly on travel agent recommendation and partly on previous reviews. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, found reception a bit dark (ok not the be all) and were given what we found to be a perfectly acceptable room - robes, wine, water etc. However on going to dinner we were very disappointed with the standard and choice on offer (buffet only 3 nights and waiter service 4 nights each week) and began to look closer at the place in general. The indoor pool is indoor, but away from the main building and the grounds are sorely in need of attention and overall do look neglected. On going to breakfast next morning we had similar feelings about the food, very few other guests, (giving the place a dead feeling) and made the decision to leave, asking our rep at the welcome meeting to find us somewhere else - which she did very quickly and without any comment.. We did experience some hassle from the manager (?) on leaving and felt this was uncalled for
