We have been constant and regular customers at 'High Square' Kantoui for quite some time , but a recent experience we encountered has turned us away. On our most recent visit , at breakfast time one Sunday , we arrived at our chosen table and were quickly and efficiently attended by the head waiter/manager. We placed our orders and after a full half hour were not yet served. However , we noticed , quite clearly , that other customers , who had arrived some time after us , were attended after but served long before us. A member of our group approached a waiter to tell him but in the presence of the head waiter/manager , he blithely ignored us. At the second attempt , another member of our group approached the Head Waiter/ manager to inform him him of our concern , to which he , with 'tongue in cheek' replied 'Sorry'. We waited a further 10 minutes or so , still with no service , and a third attempt was made to speak to the head waiter. On this third attempt , he was informed quite clearly and politely that we were leaving the premises , immediately , with strong feelings of disgust on our part. We feel that we are due an explanation and an apology from the proprietors , for what we can only interpret as favouritism , racism , or downright ill-manneredness on the part of your senior staff. Since the departure of the previous head waiter/manager , we had hoped for a vast improvement in standards , but this would appear , strongly , not to be the case. In conclusion , we would ask the proprietors to ensure that this situation is rectified , before we ever return to 'High Square' Kantoui.
