We had a fantastic family holiday this year at Melas Lara. Hotel was amazing, food was delicious and had a large variety of different foods to try. Hotel staff are good especially yulia Ageeva who made the holiday amazing. Made lots of friends who we will keep in contact with. Would definetly like to return for another great holiday again next year.

A very nice hotel,great place for relax have great team working everything organized and charming i like this hotel and special congratuate for sport team like julia,bob, yosof all . Very clean and fresh water pool so large everyone feel want to stay more and more time at melas lara hotel and there are all kinds of food and drink and activities for kids and adults

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, it was our first visit to Turkey so we were a little worried on whether we would like it.
From the moment we arrived at 1.15am we were made really welcome , the staff were so helpful.
The rooms are really clean, and cleaned daily including bathroom towels and beach towels. Your mini bar in room is topped up daily along with coffee, tea making facilities.
We were made so welcome by the animation team on the first morning around the pool, they all spoke really good english and went out of there way to make the holiday special and fun all day, every day. Yulia, Zekeriya, Salim, Yusuf, Mehmet, to name a few of the team are brilliant !!!!
We loved our holiday so much......we will definately be returning !!!

The hotel was very good, clean and confortable. Food was excellent and the room was very lovely with great decoration. Air conditioner is on all day.
Hotel is situated close the sandy beach and there were lots of sunbeds and umbrellas.

Similar to other previous reviews in this site that British tourist it's revived lesser treatment than the German visitors, the visit of myself and my family confirmed them to be true.

The staff were rude, unfriendly and unhelpful and we were constantly made to feel that we were being sneered at behind our backs - the fact we picked up in this and spoke with the only 5 other English people in the hotel who all felt the same during our 5 night stay was beyond belief. As we looked for it we realised more and more that we were not just less preferred guests... We were actively despised.

The hotel is primarily German and this is reflected in the language of the staff (little to no English is spoken), the selection of food at meal times - largely German selections and dishes not common in the uk that seem rather unappealing to say the least and the attitude of the staff who treat the British as second class citizens for seemingly no reason at all.

This was confirmed when at the meal times, we were made to wait up to 30 minutes in a largely empty restaurant before a waiter finally answered our call for drinks (the only way to obtain them, there are no drinks dispensers). We observed that other German guests were being served almost as soon as they entered (waiters even tucked in chairs for them!). Pool bar staff also refused to serve my young son a hamburger when he politely requested it - simply 'shooing' him away with a hand gesture.

Perhaps the only saving grace was the animation team, Salim was very friendly and always accompanying.. Zeki on the other hand was fake; we got the impression that he too disliked us, attempted to make us write a fake trip advisor review and tried to rip us off on the last day of our holiday when we went to hire electric scooters by referring us to a member of his family - clearly we were being taken for mugs.

When a group of us British tourists had finally had enough we confronted the hotel manager - WHO LAUGHED IN OUR FACES SURROUNDED BY THE RECEPTION STAFF WHO FOUND THE SITUATION EQUALLY AS AMUSING, displayed absolutely no effort or professionalism in dealing with what we viewed as a holiday ruining issue and then proceed to say (and I quote):

"You do not receive 5 star service because you do not pay enough"... Well sir, agreed it it not the equivalent of a night in the Ritz, but if that is the case I suggest you remove those 5 large stars you proudly proclaim on the front of your hotel.
