“lovely Villa in a great location”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My husband and I have had a wonderful time in kalkan .
Suro Evi is really nice villa. Great location not to far from the centre of Kalkan. The villa is not overlooked making the pool area nice and private. The views from the villa are breathtaking.
The restaurants in kalkan are very good, you will find it hard to find a bad one. Our favorite was Sea Port down on the front of the harbour and the staff in all of the restaurants and shops are very friendly.
We all looking forward to our next visit

“What more could you ask for?”

This has been our second year staying in Suro Evi Villa and our fourth holiday to Kalkan. We are a family of five, all three children of teenage/uni age. Kalkan is of a certain size where it is not spoilt by being too large and commercial, but is small with much going on and an abundance of restaurants to suit everyone's taste (including authentic Turkish), with views over the bay from rooftop terrace restaurants or harbour side eateries. Trips can be organised from tour operators in the town, boats hired in groups or privately for a days' swimming in clear water bays, or taxis hired taking holiday makers to many a historic sight or just travel up into the mountains to visit a trout farm and experience rural village life.

The villa Suro Evi is comprehensively fitted out, roomy, comfortable with splendid views over the bay and mountain sides and, most importantly, not overlooked whatsoever. The pool area and adjoining gardens affords everyone space to sit quietly to read, eat or just relax. The pool itself is large - all too many villas offer pools too small, so check them out first! The pool accommodates all of us in play, swimming or just plain lying on a lido mode. A steep short walk down into Town, the Thursday extensive market or to the local supermarkets is easily within reach and a short taxi back (£3 for the five of us). If you wishto venture further afield, the Town beach and 4/5 nearby beach clubs (swimming off the rocks) are an enjoyable alternative. There are also other beaches within a short taxi ride.

Practicality wise, the owners are happy to arrange airport transfers, they retain English staff who are easily contactable locally in Kalkan to assist with any queries or technical problems that may occur at the property. For those new to the area, there is a folder giving considerable detail as to where to visit, what to do and where to eat with plenty of recommendations.

In our opinion this villa and its location ticks all our boxes for a perfect holiday and we would highly recommend it..

“Great Villa in fantastic Kalkan”

This is a really nice Villa within easy walking distance of Kalkan centre although you will probably need a taxi back if you don't like walking up hills in the Turkish summer!

The Villa is a good size and our party of 4 adults and 3 teenagers had lots of space in the nicely appointed bedrooms although the top floor bedroom has a low ceiling on one side of the room which may be a problem to tall folk but the view from the roof terrace outside is tremendous.

Supermarkets are within 5 minutes walk making it easy to pick up fresh bread every morning.
The pool area is a good size, the grounds are very well tendered and views of the bay are fantastic!

The owner provides lots of useful information before you travel and arranges airport transfers from Dalaman. She also has representatives based in Kalkan who are very, very helpful and it's good to know there are good guys you can call if you have any questions or need assistance.

However I'm not going to tell anyone how fantastic Kalkan is or they will all want go!

“Wonderful villa, beautiful and very friendly place”

Having never been to Turkey before we were a little concerned as to what to expect however our concerns were soon over when we arrived in Kalkan and stopped at Suro Ev. The villa is fabulous, spacious and beautifully presented with views over the bay and the town. The pool area is spacious and great for sunbathing and the olive trees give perfect shade.
Kalkan town and marina area is only 5 minutes walk down the hill and to avoid the walk back the local taxis provide a cheap option. The town is full of beautiful shops and restaurants and a boat can be hired from the marina for trips around the local islands and bays.
A visit to Patara is well worth the time as it has an endless golden beach and ancient ruins.
The people in Kalkan are freindly and always seem to have a smile on their face which is understandable considering where they live.
Would not hesitate to return.

“AMAZING holiday in a stunning Villa - very friendly people, couldn't ask for more”
Reviewed 23 June 2011 for a stay in June 2011

I have just returned from Kalkan after visiting for 1 week with 3 friends (2 couples). I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays i've ever had. The Villa is lovely, beautifully presented and well maintained. Any minor problems we did have were very quickly resolved by Kadir, the onsite handyman! He was at the property within 5 minutes.

We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms but it would comofrtably have fitted another couple. We enjoyed lazy days by the pool (which is so warm due to the year round sunshine) but we were only a short walk into the town as well. We hired a car so were able to drive to the 2 local beaches which were both stunning.

The lovely thing about staying in a Villa like this, is that you can quite easily stay in and cook on an evening in stead of eating out. We had 3 bbq's during our stay and spent many any evening sat outside.

Highly recommend, will definitely be going back - Thank You.
