This hotel has perfect location but they need major renovation, all their amenities are very old. we stayed half board; Breakfast is good dinner is ok. Rooms are too small. Housekeeping doing great job, all staff very friendly.

Visited for three weeks sept17 after several years. Hotel is in a good location over looking Kalkan harbour and bay. Food is good quality and reasonably varied. Rooms a clean and fairly modern. Pool area is small for guest numbers. The usual sunbed vultures get the best spots. The big down is the Sundal lounge bar which is located beneath the pool area of the hotel and pumps out really loud boom music well into the small hours. This alone will stop us returning.

Value for money, this place is a great place for Kalkan. The pools are great with a kids pool and two other very nice pools. The location and view is fantastic. The rooms are very basic, with rock hard beds and very limited toiletries and furnishings. The a/c works well. Breakfast is basic. Ate out for all other meals. Wifi was very frustrating by kicking you out and logging in again as well as poor speed (although strong signal). Pool bar man was great (people called him Reggae). I would be more likely to return and pay a bit more for higher quality. Love this town though, with more restaurants than I’ll ever get to visit. Had a lovely week here, just wish I could have slept better in a decent bed.

The hotel looks really nice from the outside, but quickly deteriorates when you go inside. It is SUPER dated. Wifi barely worked. I was on a weekend dive trip with 40 other people, the hotel knew we were all on the dive tour all day so even when we put "do not disturb" signs on the room they entered our room anyways. One of the people I was with had a valuable item stolen, and when she addressed it with the front desk about why someone entered her room with the "do not disturb" sign on it, and that one of her valuables was missing, the hotel clerk wouldn't write a report about it and completely dismissed her. She said everyone at the hotel has been working there for 20+ years and no one would steal anything, but she was barely 20 herself, so not sure how that could be true.

Anyways, there were small ants throughout the room and in the dining area. Food was moldy and had gone bad, it's very clear they're resting on the beautiful location and not putting any effort into upkeep whatsoever, which is a shame as the place has some serious potential. Another crappy place that takes advantage of divers. Bedsheets were scratchy, room doors had holes in them, and there was no safe. I didn't leave any valuables in the room, which I'm thankful for considering the possible/probably theft that occurred to someone else on the trip.

One last thing - I had to walk FOURTEEN flights of stairs to get to my room. Don't even think about staying here if you have a lot of luggage. I needed a massage after the weekend of hauling my dive gear up those stairs. You'd think they'd clue in with a group of divers that the highest floor wouldn't be appropriate.

Room Tip: Lots of stairs, pick your room carefully

We loved this hotel, we used the pool facilities in here most days and was a real pleasure. The location of this hotel is excellent and the views over kalkan and out to the water was excellent. The man who runs the pool bar Reggie was a real gem, such a great guy and would go out his way for you. He was one of the reasons why we went back there time and time again.
