We have been visiting the hotel for a number of years and are pleased to say that the rooms have been redecorated, new bathrooms installed and generally upgraded. The location and service remain excellent, and the breakfast of the usual very good standard. A number of return visitors will know Uzi, the small white cat with black patches. She is gladly still with us although suffers from gum infections which sometimes makes it painful for her to eat. The Kas Animal Sanctuary kindly collected her twice during our stay so that she could be treated. If you stay at the Phellos please look out for her and feed her soft food. She loves people and happily snuggles up with you on a sun bed. She makes the Phellos an even happier place to stay.

Room Tip: Pool facing rooms are nicest.

In a changing world it's good to see the Phellos is as good now as when we first visited 15 years ago. Great location, nice pool and the best staff. As regular visitors we now see many others who make an annual visit to the Phellos, surely the best possible testament to its' qualities.

Room Tip: Try for the front facing the sea

This hotel is situated up a hill, 5 mins walk from the main town centre, pretty much ideally located. It is in a relatively quiet area and has a good sized pool which gets the sun all day. It lets itself down though on the basics. The bed is absolutely rock hard, painfully so! It's difficult to get comfy at night. The rooms are compact, basic but functional, but the decor really needs attending to. The breakfast is basic too and if you get there towards the end time of 10am you may find things lacking. What is inexcusable though is the total lack of any customer service, and friendliness towards the guests or even the odd smile. Not a bad hotel by any means, just don't expect too much!
