Yeah I wouldn't pay that money to lie in a pool of tourists for two hours to tether over ancient ruins. A couple of friends did however and looked completely bored while we waited in the ahead shaded area eating an over priced ice cream. A tourist attraction with not much to be attracted by. If wading in a thermal pool is your thing go for it.

It is a must see! Unfortunately I couldn’t get in the water that day however my friends had a wonderful experience. Will visit again!

What can you say about a pool that the Empress Cleopatra (the VII) is said to have bathed in - Magnificent, Royal or Cool as a teenager would? Whatever the adjective the pool was an experience in itself.

This artificially pool water supposed to have been gifted by Marc Anthony to Cleopatra. In 7 CE an earthquake destroyed surrounding buildings and the huge marble columns toppled into the pool where they are visible to this day.

The entrance fee is TRY30 for two hours. There are also lockers for rent.

All in all a great place to chill out and swim in the same waters that Cleopatra bathed in.

We went in March so it wasn't too busy but I'm sure in the summer it gets crazy. We swam over by the bridge area...it wasn't as busy and the water was more effervescent.
