After Thomson continually putting prices up we decided to look into direct booking and the Oykun came highly recommend by a a lot of people we talked to. so we decided to check it out. We turned up at the reception and was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who spoke very good English. After explaining why we were there she answered all our questions giving us all the info we wanted along with the prices for direct booking, ranging from £10 per person per night for May & October and rising to a max of £17 per night per person in August. breakfast inc. We then asked if we could see the rooms and she instantly asked a colleague to show us two rooms (they have two accommodation blocks with two pools with a great looking dinning room and bar area between ). The gentleman also spoke great English and was really helpful. The rooms in each block we different but both of a high standard in cleanliness and comfort. a really good bathroom with a walk in shower also a balcony. The hotel will also arrange airport transfers but forgot to ask the price. All rooms are non smoking but smoking on the balcony is permitted as is having your own kettle in your room. it is also just a short walk to the resort centre. Although this was just a walk round fact finding mission we were most impressed and intend to make it top of our list when i book next time..

Room Tip: not actually stayed there yet

STAFF - Polite, helpful, cheerful. Can't do enough for you!
LOCATION- Out of the way enough to be peaceful but within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and beach.
ROOM- Basic but we weren't in it long. Bed was ok but would have liked a top sheet to sleep under rather than a scratchy throw. BIG DOWNSIDE for us - no tea and coffee facilities in the room!. If you're up early you can't get a hot drink until breakfast at 8am. After breakfast you could buy tea and coffee from the bar. A kettle and cups in our room would have been welcomed. Rooms cleaned every day and were spotless.
FOOD- Breakfasts are great, lots of choice. We were on bed and breakfast basis. However we did eat in the restaurant on our first evening there purely for convenience. We didn't eat there again as we found the food lukewarm and not really appetizing.
HOTEL- Spotless and well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols around both pools. Lovely.
We went with Tui who state this is an adult only hotel. There are however other travel companies who use it and allow children to stay so be aware.

This was our first visit to this lovely Hotel. Could not fault the Oykun at all. Wonderful staff, great breakfasts and lovely room overlooking pool. Exceptionally clean in all areas. Goldie on reception is a gem!. Have booked another week at the end of September and cannot wait.

We really enjoyed our holiday. it was everything we are used to but this year we were lucky enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms in the older block, its true, they were showing their age before but they look fantastic now.
Such a chilled out relaxing vibe as always in the hotel, great breakfast, and great staff.
Special mention to Mehmet who doesn't always get a mention but quietly and professionally goes about his job keeping everything ticking over with the dining side of things, one of the nicest blokes ive met.

Room Tip: old block rooms have bin referbed
