You can read the background of the place on the web, but one thing for sure - it is amazing.
A full large village with houses, a church and all, set in a lovely slope, and all for you to explore. from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
also highly recommended is the walk from the village, over the top, to the Oludeniz lagoon. it will take about 3 hours, and the mix of history and great views is worth the walk.

The walk over the hills from Oludeniz is spectacular. Hard going but unless your extremely unfit, its possible. Take plenty of water. The reward at the end of the trek is an uninhabited ghost town screaming history. There's some restaurants close by to. Utopia lodge do a good wholesome meal and if you want to catch the bus back it passes right through the town.

Visited with friends, yes you do need decent walking shoes and no, its not suitable for those with walking difficulties or who use a wheelchair however it is hard to believe that it has only been 1923 when Turkey became a Republic that the Greek occupants left, it looks so much older. Due to restoration works, entry into the Church was not allowed, maybe next time.

If you are mature enough, you will feel the beauty of the place.
Young people/Teens may start complain; what supposed to me to do in ruins?

It is a combination of quiet village, the smell of fig trees, and memories blowing; as if you were living here since a long time.

Hiking on the sandy streets will take you to the relaxation and make you forget the city bustle.
