This is a must place to visit in Al Ain. It was a hot day and we thought we will just Look for maybe 10-20 mins but we were ther for almost hours. We decided to pay for buckie tour (20 aed per person) we had fantastic guide tour Mr. lucky ( Pakistan guy) and we didn’t need to walk in thousand of hectares there. He showed us around even Al Ain National Museum and 200 years old date trees. And you must visit Eco exhibition it was brilliant. It was hot day and very fantastic trip. Highly recommend.

It is not open for everyone. It is only for tourist, so you better have your passports with you if you want to get admitted. It is like paradise in the desert. It has hanging date trees. No one will say anything if you pick some dates and eat them, delicious.

Hard to get in... just walking paths. Not really much to see for a UNESCO site ???
Toilets weren’t working. Odd

The oasis is a great break from the shopping malls and tourist focused entertainment the UAE has become known for. It is a great spot for a walk in the shade. There are various spots to take a rest. We packed our own small snack pack/lunch. The information centre at the main gate is a great resource of information, not only on the plants of the area (and general desert life) but also of the culture and history. It takes about 30min to walk from one side to the other (if you do not get lost)

We enjoyed the time in the shade.

The largest of several oases scattered across the city, this one is located just south of the souk and adjacent to the National Museum. A great date plantation with more than150,000 trees, it is a green, tranquil labyrinth of narrow lanes. Our organized tour did not give us much time here, but we did have the opportunity to learn about date harvesting from our tour manager, and to watch as a man scaled the trunk of one of the palms. My spouse and I would have loved to linger longer beneath the rustling fronds on the cool shady walkways.
