Colonia is a wonderful place to be and posada del angel makes your visit even more worthwhile!

Quaint, peaceful and friendly, this posada offers small, comfortable rooms centrally located to the old town of Colonia. There is a tiny pool, and quiet area to sit outside. Breakfast is very small but the staff is friendly and helpful.

Posada del Angel is a lovely little boutique hotel close to the water in Colonia. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Posada del Angel. It sits at the end of a quiet cobblestone street. The Posada is 3 blocks from the main street in Colonia, about 7 blocks from the historic district, and 2 blocks from the Tourism office. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is served to you at your table and includes coffee, fresh squeezed juice, croissants of all kinds, along with different jams and spreads. The pool is well maintained and the garden is very serene and relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean. Ample, safe parking was on the street in front of the hotel. We will definitely stay at Posada del Angel on our next trip to Colonia.
This posada was perfect for us. We spoke very little Spanish and staff spoke very little English but we all still managed to communicate beautifully. The garden surrounding the pool is very peaceful. We spent two nights here and enjoyed it immensely. The room was very clean, the posada very quiet and the location was perfect. We enjoyed the evening stroll into the old town to view the sunset. The pool was a bonus and we loved coolling off after a day of exploring!
This "country inn" has it all--clean rooms in a quiet location, charming angel theme decor, a nice pool, lovely breakfast room with expanded continental breakfast, plus a location just a short walk from the highly interesting historic area in Colonia. As an extra bonus the management also treated us to an hour of famous Italian arias and duets sung by a soprano and a tenor from Montevideo. They also sang 1960s era Italian popular songs like 'O Sole Mio' and 'Funiculi, Funicula' but the audience really came alive when they encouraged us to participate singing 'Cielito Lindo'. The property is very well maintained and appointed, but the bathroom is a bit cramped.
