This was a heavenly oasis and relaxation to die for after Hanoi excitement. We wanted for nothing and were very well looked after by attentive staff. Food delicious. Bed comfortable and pool welcome. Highly recommend.
We stayed here in July with our two children for a week. The kids had a room right next to ours, which they were thrilled with. It was so nice to have somewhere to unpack and call home for a week while we toured Vietnam. You wont hear noisey cars beeping here, the odd motorbike, chickens and perhaps a dog barking, so peaceful.
Our kids spent most every day the day in the pool, I read my book in the shade and we often went into town to get a suit made for hubby. Getting a taxi into town is no problem, doesn't cost much. One day day I had to go into Hoi An to get get sun lotion, insect repellant etc. and the taxi company was quite busy so Hungs wife kindly brought me into the market on the back of her motorbike! So kind of her.
We discovered some lovely restaurnts nearby, "The Field" stands out as one of the best. Towards the end of our stay Hung invited us to dinner with his family along with the other family staying there, the lovely family from S. Korea whose girls got on famously with our kids. It was a smashing night, fabulous food and lots of tiger beer. So so nice.
Wer'e home two weeks now and Green Areca stands out as one of the nicest places we stayed during our three week holiday. Thanks to Hung his family and staff for making it so enjoyable.
Well, the sterling reviews lived up to the five star ratings ! Throughout, the service was excellent. From the communication leading up to the booking, to the moment we left Le Hung, and his staff, delivered. We booked directly with Green Areca which was no problem and seamless, and indicative of their attentive and friendly attitude. Our family of 4 occupied the entire top floor which are two adjoining and huge rooms. It wasn't easy to get this detail from images supplied on their website so there was a good deal of communication exchanging; language barriers aside. Upstairs, is one bedroom with king size bed, the other is 2x king singles. The facilities are well appointed, modern, clean and quite luxurious. Beds are the standard Vietnamese-hard. Breakfast range is good, one less to think about and all the rave reviews are confirmed. Together with another group there, we ordered the BBQ & there's a lot of food. If you have fussy eaters, or don't like seafood much, suggest you mix the request with food from main menu. Rooms are made up each day so towels are renewed and more needed on request. Nothing seems to be a problem. Hue, the receptionist, is so helpful, endearing and professional. We each hired motorbikes which were reasonable @ 1000d per bike. The villa is located halfway between the Old Town and the amazing beaches. An Dang is worth the visit but also do-able on the complimentary pushbikes which are in good order - and suitable cushy seats to accommodate the western-size posterior - which we used on two occasions. Though rather hot under the sweltering sun. Hue ordered the diving trip and transport to/from Danang and the various trips on our behalf - so easy. We stayed six nights. It's quiet and a relief from the motorbike drone of the towns. Highly recommended.
