Its must visit place if you are history buff or have children. One gets to see the various stages of human evolution and its really educative. One whole room is dedicated to Dr Livingstone with his family tree, letters he wrote during his life time, his travelling coat and so on.Yet another part is dedicated to Zambian rural life and one feels as if time stands still as you still see the glimpses of same activities when you pass through small towns and villages of Zambia.
The entry fee for residents is K 16 for adults and K 12 for kids.Photographs are not allowed inside the museum. There is small gift shop inside the compound where you can buy water and cold drinks too.

We visited for the morning and found the museum to be enjoyable, educational and good value for money! It is definitely worth a visit whilst in Livingstone.

Not only does this museum tell the life of the man who brought Victoria Falls to the world outside of Africa, it also tells the story of Zambia and surrounding countries from early days up to and beyond the discovery of the falls by ‘white man’.
It’s a fascinating journey throughout and won’t take all day. We did it in about 75mins.

Not the best museum visited but well worth a visit if you visit Livinstone. You get a much better insight of Zambia from Peter Jones on Tge Royl Livingstone Express Steam Train
