Been coming to yabaton every time I visit Nagoya. Good stuff. If you're not comfortable ordering in Japanese, ask for the English menu and they are happy to oblige.

I don't often queue for food but given that this is one of their specialties, I put myself in line. Their efficient queuing system resulted in a short waiting time. They take your order while your in the queue and food arrives shortly after your seated.

The pork was tender and fatty, miso sauce was delish! For 1600 yen, you get more than enough food. IF you're a small eater, share or order half the pork. I managed to eat it all but it was a struggle…

It's not the best tonkatsu I've had in Japan but it's still pretty good. Highly recommend it!

One of the signature dishes of Nagoya. Specially seasoned miso sauce to be poured on top of the deep fried pork chop when served. There are lots of branches, this one in Lachic Department Store can be reached by taking subway to Sakae.

Misokatsu is a Nagoya specialty. Would recommend Yabaton as a good place to try it out. Very reasonably priced, good service and delicious food. English descriptions in the menu, as well as pictures. If you get the misokatsu on the sizzling plate, they bring you a disposable apron to protect your clothes from the sizzling sauce.
