I had just got out of the train from Kyoto and was just a tad early to check in so I decided to get a bite before going to the hotel. It happened that reputable Curio was only 5 min away from where I was staying, just perfect! I was expecting a mob even at 13:30 but all was quiet. The owner Sal was there and took my order, pulled pork plate and a chai tea. The food was really excellent and full of flavor. The soup was potatoes & leaks made with Jananese sweet potatoes (so not too sweet) was one of the best I ever had. The small salad had a light dressing with what I 'm guessing a hint of mustard, balancing perfectly with the very tender, sweet pulled pork. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is retro chic with clean lines. They open at 8:00am and close at 16:00. Sal said to plan so extra time in the morning as they really get jamming early. I strongly recommend a visit...or 2 at Curio Espresso.
