Highlights of my visit was a special exhibition focussed on blossom, an interactive film and poetry screen, a section on Manga art and the pleasing gardens and modern architecture. The biggest highlight of all was the friendly guide who walked around with me and explained all the the items in English. I learned so much and had a lovely time

This place is great to see and learn about traditional Japanese ink artwork. Enjoy the gallery and gardens.

The main theme of the paintings is black and white. There are not many pictures here but some of them are really stunning and national treasures. The building is beautiful and the grounds lovely.

The museum is worth a visit, only for the architecture of the building itself. ON the banks of the river, at a perfect location this is Japanese architecture at its best.
Only the roof is a rare piece of work, the slightly rounded line is amazing.
Besides a series of black and white ink paintings is Always available. For the experienced Japan traveler a must when you are in the neighbourhood.

This is an elegant building with a huge and beautiful park. For those who appreciate black ink and water painting, this is definitely worth a visit.
