Pretty pricey. 400Y for a slice of cheesecake or pear tart. Cheesecake wasn't great. Not creamy or smooth enough. Pear tart crust was too buttery and overpowered the pear flavor. Cappuccino was from and automatic machine. Try somewhere else

Walked all the way down in snowy weather to the Tobu Railway Station from the shrines (1.5km) to find this little haven of sweet goodness. You can't miss it, it is on the left side of the station as you approach. We had hot chocolate and English Breakfast tea with our pumpkin pudding and custard pudding. Oh wow, they were so yummy! A bit like creme caramel but not so sickly sweet like you get 'em in the west. Wished the drinks were in larger cups though but I guess this is the Japanese portion size. We could have drank 3x more the volume! But it was totally worth it, just people watching and savouring our puddings as the snow fell gently outside. We will make sure to stop again on our way home tomorrow!

This restaurant has attentive staff in a building built by a foreigner many years ago in a kind of ranch style. Good wine list and although not cheap eating and portions are small it has a good menu overall.

Lunch has never been more delightful, particularly after a cold day of winter sightseeing in Nikko.

Lunch of salad, sea bass, amazing French bread and a variety of their best desserts including their famous cheesecake. The restaurant is housed in the Meiji era home of a Western trader. Food is fabulous.
