Visited on Wednesday night and they were closed. Came back Saturday night and enjoyed very delicious gyoza and beer. Waited about 30 minutes in line.

Originally ordered one order to split (15 in each order) but ended up ordering a second batch after the first were devoured.

Very friendly cooks who were very busy. A classic place to eat. Would go back soon :)

Need to go here if visiting Beppu. It's very simple place with only 7 seats and just serves gyozas and beer. Saying that the gyozas are truly excellent and the beer is cold, especially after building up a hunger in an onsen. Can be tough to find, ask a shopkeeper nearby if you can't as its in a little alleyway

This tiny restaurant has ony 7 counter seats and sells Gyoza (crispy fried dumplings), beer and tea. It is closed on Tuesdays and is located down a small lane.

This family has been making gyozas for decades and they have perfected the art of gyoza. It's a small restaurant - 7 seats, no reservations and serves only 2 items: gyoza and beer that's it.
But boy were the gyozas fantastic! Thin skinned and fried to a brilliant crisp with tasty meat filling. A plate comes with 15 gyozas and you'll finish them up fast. Costs only ¥600. A bottle of Asahi costs only ¥600. So you get a cheap yet wonderful snack at an affordable price.

Located in a small alley, this unpretentious place serving gyoza and beer was packed when we arrived late around 830pm. The gyoza pieces were small, but the skins was fried just perfectly and they were just delicious! Washing it down with freezing cold Kirin beer was just perfect...
