It is a traditional Japanese Inn that has either traditional and western style rooms. Very clean very comfortable, the staff is helpful polite and respectful. Outstanding service. If I ever return to Naha I will stay there again.

Room Tip: in a central yet a quiet location.

We stayed at Rakuchin two years ago (and reviewed it then). There were no disappointments the second time around.

Good service, friendly staff, the other guests were nice and peaceful, and the location amazingly central (if a little close to the "red light district", which appears seedy but hardly unsafe).

On top of that, THIS time I got outrageously sick 2 days into the trip. They not only provided me with a thermometer to check myself, when it showed I had a fever, they recommended and EXCELLENT doctor who was within a short walk of the hotel itself. And he didn't even have a long wait!

Whenever we go back to Okinawa, we will almost certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Every room I've had here was good.

We chose this hotel for a more authentic experience. The staff were very helpful and we stayed 3 nights in an air conditioned, twin bedded room with a tatami area (worth the extra cost for the extra space). The beds were hard but once the staff saw I'd been sleeping on my duvet they brought us extra soft mattresses to place on the bed. (Ask on the first night!) We enjoyed the public bath and the amazing power showers. Breakfast was very simple; toast and jam and parking was free opposite. The hotel is on the edge of the red light district but no worries and the hotel is an easy walk to a street of restaurant and shops.

Room Tip: Extra space

Our Japanese style room was very clean, confortable and spacious. Apart from a small bathroom in the room, the hotel also provides a public bath for its customers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we had 2 delicious meals (within 15mins walk) by their recommendation.

The only problem is that the walls are thin (traditional Japanese building) so we need to consciously keep our voice down at night time.

If you are self driving, the hotel is very convenient with easy access to everywhere in Naha area.

came highly reviewed and decided to book this place for our trip last year. wanted to experience the local flavour instead of staying in a international hotel.

the hotel was decent and staff were very friendly, a low key hotel but that's about it. the room we had didnt have a good view and it felt old.

cant really fault the place but rather perhaps i made a wrong choice to stay in a guest house.

there was a public bath which seems popular with the local but i did not try.
