We recently visited Toto. 3 persons.

It was a weekday and not too packed although most tables were reserved. So we ended up sitting outside and ordered the following:

Specials:

Seafood Risotto:
Salmon Tartare:
Grilled Salmon:
Almaza:

We were served fresh pita bread with oregano on it and it was very very good.

The risotto was great. The Portion was good. It tasted amazing and it was cooked properly

The grilled Salmon was also good. Cooked properly and decent portion.

The Salmon Tartare was a little light on the Salmon and heavy on the Avocado. Otherwise tasted great.

The Almaza: Very cold. Very good :)

As far as ambience the location is good and lighting is nice. The place is well decorated and staff is professional.

Notes:

Always place a new empty ashtray on a table before removing a full one as to not leave the customer with no ashtray.

Please consider fixing the proportion of Salmon to avocado on the Tartare.

We sat an hour or more and none of the 'reserved' tables were occupied during this time.

I do recommend and I will return and try more items on the menu as the food was good.

Toto is an italian restaurant that has a branch in The Village. It has indoor and ootdoor seating. Fully booked during weekends. I go there for lunch and reserve a table outside to enjoy the sun. At night i prefer indoor table. The food is so good! The risotto truffles and Pizza are not to be missed. The sorbeh limoncello is just what you need. The staff are friendly. Price/quality is fair. Thumb up.

To be fair; food is tasty and nicely presented but the portion are very small and very highly priced and the location is small.
At those prices you can have better in term of service, quantity and quality of food at a 5 star restaurant with some entertainment in a nicer location in downtown or Zeitouna bay rather than a remote place like Dbayeh.
Finally in a positive term I can say that the potential is good should the owner decide to reposition the restaurent.

Good food, good service, but unrealistically expensive and with medium size portions. Ex. Gamba Salad priced at 45,000LBP, equivalent to 30$, equivalent to 110 Qatari Riyal. We do pay 110QR for a Hot Buffet Dinner (not full buffet) at a 5-star hotel in Doha.
