People say you get what you paid for but I think that service level should not be compromised especially when you are in hospitality industry. To sum up my stay :

1. Staffs - not that friendly face and noticed that when they bumped into guests, they will turn their look away or try to avoid the guests.

2. The room - looks clean but there were hairs on the bedsheet. Makes me wonder whether or not they changed it after the previous guest checked out.

3. Washroom - mouldy and the door seems going to drop anytime soon. The Management should look into maintenance seriously.

This is probably the best budget hotel in Kuantan. It is a huge nice hotel consists of 14 floor, and have the facility of any 3 star hotel. I took the offer in agoda and paid around RM 80 ( without breakfast ) and find it great value for money. The room is small yet nice. The floor has carpet and bed is comfortable for a good sleep. As a family we enjoyed our stay here and our children enjoyed their swimming in the pool. The location is great, in the middle of city center . If you want to stay in a 3 star hotel and want to pay 1 star price, then this is the right hotel for you. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend for the traveler whose budget is around RM 100.

After few years supported new budget hotel around the town, its time to give a try for old huge hotel

Someone recommended me Shahzan Inn since i always need business friendly hotel as huge yet privacy lobby, silent environment, easy parking and bonus if got poolside

So I hunting via search engine and managed get offer for standard roon. requested facing pool to avoid massive noise from main road. they gave me end corner room which is bonus too

Price 4 still affordable for a high rise hotel

Front Office/Lobby fast and easy, lobby is superb. 4 different corner to give some privacy for discussion

Cafe The offer not included breakfast, so no comment

Lift provided and work very well

Room 4 huge with old furniture but all still well maintain and neat. carpet not smelly.
Door need to smash before lock when going out.

Toilet 3 too old with dark stain. this really need refurbish since the shower room too tiny.
sink stucked, every time brushing n washing need to wait

aircond is perfect with three controller from side table, all the lamp work very well plus huge flat screen tv

the scenery from window to the mosque really fascinating even day and nite

location is awesome, totally middle of oldtown yet easy access to mall only by 2km

Overall recommended

Strategic location in the heart of kuantan. The hotel offered basic necessities, with reasonable price. Limited of parking spaces, and old structures. However the staff is friendly, breakfast served is delicious and the room is clean.

Room tip: room facing mosque

The hotel is located in the city centre. Free parking spaces are limited but there are plenty of cheap city parking. The hotel has aged, and that was apparent in the appearance of its furniture and fixtures. The two rooms we took were clean but the bathroom could benefit from some thorough scrubbing - soap scum and mildew. The phones in both room weren't working. Our room's door latch was broken.

The swimming pool didn't provide any pool towel. The pool area could use some tidying up. The pool themselves were clean. The white plastic grates need to be changed as they were discoloured and broken in some places.

We were there during the Eid season - 2nd and 3rd day. It was obvious the hotel was short staffed but those that were around at the front desk were wonderful. They tried to make the best of the situation - very good hostess. They made a positive difference.

The hotel needs to be upgraded, plus the cleaning crew.
