Room: Generally looks clean despite the toilet and some upholstery has aged. Old TV and air-conditioning needs maintenance. The the toilet bowl has no dedicated water hose (but has nozzle that squirts out water, Japanese style). Have to depend on pipe located on sink and bathtub.
Location: Quite close to the beach. Many Thai seafood eateries outside. Cherating seafood stalls are known for excessive charging. About 10km+ to Kuala Kemaman, if you're hunting for tasty Sata, Pais & Keropok Lekor (google for Warung Aziz Satar).
Amenities:
1. Pools are divided into 'swimwear' and 'non-swimwear' types, which is good for Muslims who wants to swim in public modestly. Towels and lifeguards are available.
2. Lift seems to broke down sometimes. No porter to help carry luggage.
3. Well maintained landscape. Sandy playground and tree hanging bridge for children.
4. ATVs and bike rental provides good recreational options for the adventurous ones.

Room tip: Rooms located at the South Wing may have better view of the ocean.

Stayed here for a night. Stayed in a deluxe room facing the sea. Initially booked a superior room but because of no availability of the room upon arrival, was upgraded to a deluxe room free of charge.

Room was facing the sea with a 180 degree view of the sea. Some water sports available for a fee along the beach.

Clean room, looks like newly refurbished. All amenities in the room was working well.

Restaurant was average. Nothing great about it. Can be disappointing at times, for example ordered a cup of hot coffee, but was cold when it reached the table. Had to ask the staff to reheat it again.

Staffs are friendly.

Room tip: Get the deluxe sea facing room.

Last minute booking and decision, arrived at midnight, the area is very dark.

Lobby is huge but have a funny smell. Walking from the lobby to the room is quite far (Jr Suite), but from the suite to the beach in just a minute.

The suite is big, the bathroom is big, they have two balconies, but the aircond compressor place at the balcony make so much annoying noise if you want to hang out at the balcony.

The furniture and fittings all is quite old, but still functioning. There is no cutlery, plate or anything in the kitchen cabinet. Should've provided some plate and basic cutlery.

The surrounding is clean. Staff is very friendly and one of the chef chat with us in the morning telling about the hotel background and places to eat.

Huge pool, clean beach, nice bar by the beach. Breakfast spread is nice too.

Room tip: higher floor, better view.

I am here for one night only because of an emergency. This place is easy to find. You can waze the location. If you're from Kuala Lumpur, just head to Kuantan and exit Jabor. You will reach this resort in 15 minutes.

This is my first time ever to Cherating. I've requested an upper level room and they gave me 5th floor which is nice, sea view and a quiet place. There's a bar with live band performance daily.

Room is spacious and clean complete with coffee and tea, drinking water, toiletries.Only the television got not so much channel. I don't know about other room, but mine only can get 2-3 channel (local channel).

Overall, I love the location, I love the sound of the waves. You can get to the beach within walking distance.

Room tip: Choose upper level and sea view.
