The hotel indeed has seen its better days. The super deluxe room did not disappoint us. Amenities are basic but adequate. Room is huge and the kids get to run around. However, the room tend to have a musty smell when we first step in. The toilet/bathroom tiles can be slippery when wet. Housekeeper were not attentive/observant to notice my note on the TV requesting for more tissue paper & toilet paper (with tips under the note). Swimming pool is small and patrons are not in proper swimming attire when using the pool. Overall staffs are friendly and helpful. However, they are not well versed in English.

Hotel is walking distance to many eateries and the bus stop further up the hotel offers free shuttle service to Prangin Mall / KOMTAR. Parking is free for hotel guests and you can choose to walk around instead of driving.

Room Tip: Request for a room at the higher floors for a better view.

It was a last minute trip to Penang for client requirement and it being holiday season for children, this was one of the few hotels that had available rooms. The hotel looks dodgy and very old. Every corner of the hotel is asking for renovation. The room was spacious but the age was evident. The bathroom looked very scary to me and I tried minimising my usage. The mattress on the bed was very flat and I hardly caught two winks. The only good part about the room was the view of the ocean. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone in its present state.

Good budget hotel, clean and cozy hotel, this property has been around for awhile. Plenty of restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel to keep you busy while exploring the local culture. Do walk behind the hotel to explore some nice wall arts around the streets as well.

The hotel is old and has had its better days probably more than 10 years ago BUT the rooms are huge with a fab view over Georgetown/Penang. Breakfast is a buffet which is okish but nothing fancy. Good location tho.

The receptionist asked for returnable deposit fee during checkin [200 ringgets] though we had confirmed booking online. Duno why this practice.
We enjoyed the pool during mid day, It was free n peaceful.
Room was good and there is good connectivity. Shops n bus stop closeby.

Overall good location n service.
