We enjoyed our stay at this well located historic hotel in Georgetown. The front desk attendant is helpful. Buffet breakfast is good—we particularly enjoyed the local specialties they highlighted (descriptions and where they sourced them). Bathroom was cramped, but it is, after all, a historic building so I suppose that’s part of the package. The in-room snacks of local specialty was a pleasant surprise.

The perfect place to stay in Penang. I can’t leave perfect review so, the beds are a little on the hard side. Management could not find better staff. Located in the middle of George Town, a foodies delight. 20 ringgit for a meal for 2.

Great place to stay. Bed and linen clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. They are eager to please. Pool is very clean. Restaurant next door does a great breakfast with lots of special Malay dishes to try.

Located close to all the old town sights Yeng Keng has everything a tired, hot traveller needs - wifi. pool, cool rooms, great service and beautiful atmosphere. Restored to its former glory, the hotel has the grace of yesteryear with all modern convenience. Make sure you ask staff for food recommendations - they led us to some of the best meals we had in George Town. I highly recommend a stay here.

Yeng Keng is located very centrally in Georgetown and you have all options of foods, shopping, ocean and nightlife just around the corner. E.g. Love Lane, a very touristy street, is just 5 minutes walk from Yeng Keng.

The entire hotel has recently been renovated and everything looks very nice. Everything functions well, e.g. AC, hot water, wi-fi etc. and the rooms are fairly large and has more furniture than most other hotels. I appreciate having a closet and a drawer to have my clothes in, which they have here.

The pool and the pool area is very small, but clean and very nice. It is also a good thing as it makes you go out and enjoy the wonderful city instead of just lying by the pool :-)
