Do pay this museum plus restaurant a visit if you like both good food and classic feel of the old colonial mansion with its historical treats.

For any visitors who appreciate the historical and architectural treasure of Georgetown, look no further than The Site is a unique restaurant and museum which serves excellent western food. The all time favourite lamb rack is highly recommended.

The place is a delight to visit. the is good serving Asian and western fusion. The ambiance is very pleasant. The restaurant is actually a businessman's of the 1800's town house. There are some articles of historic value (antique) which is for viewing. The quality of food is excellent. The price is consistent with the quality.

This was the second time that we were there and once again, it was closed. Its opening hours are noon to 3 pm and 6 pm onwards for dinner. However, the staff was nice enough to allow us to have drinks which we desperately need as it was so hot outside.

The place was beautiful. It was tastefully restored. The museum at the back of the restaurant provided some history of the Chinese in Penang and Yeap Chor Hee, a businessman and philanthropist. It was a rags to riches story.

As part of Georgetown's UNESCO status, here is a beautifully restored Chinese heritage home. - do visit upstairs to see the formal dining room with ancestral altar and courtyard festooned with tropical plants. The dinner is however not heritage or Chinese but Western - beef onion soup, duck, steak, pasta all done well and although not fine dining standards cf. McAllister Mansion, it is good fare although perhaps a trifle expensive by Pensng standards. We were brought here by Penangites who thought the lunch was better. We were a big party of 11 and they cheerfully accommodated us.
