The rooms are air-conditioned and clean. They will book you just about any tour you like, point out where the best shopping is, where to eat for authentic local or western food. Close to October Cafe which has the best morning coffee in KK. They need a bigger fridge but for a budget place it was very ggod. Plus, if it rains a lot while you are there, they have cable TV. If you know how to sail a boat, ask about their connection to Kota Belud. May will help you.

Room Tip: The double rooms with en-suite are best.

Amazing friendly people who run this place!!! they do all they can to make you feel welcome. I stayed in the dorms and in the private rooms downstairs. It was clean.

The bed sheets, towels and the whole room were semi-clean. The lock from one of the two shared showers was broken. The coffee machine barely worked and they juste added water but not put un new coffee, so it was rather 'sock's water' than coffee.

There is a sign in the accomodation area saying please respect other guests by being quiets after 10pm - the usual message. the staff and their friends were up and very noisy until 2am. The toilet and wash facilities weren't great. the only sink being communal and very low near an unsanitary toilet. Even though heading out on a jungle trek for days did not feel much like washing here.
The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was free but there was a strong smell of effluent in communcal kitchen area. It was a bit of a bench mark of places to stay in terms of not the worst but very far from a nice experience to stay.

We stayed here in the dorms, managed to nock the price down to RM 25 a night from the advertised 30. I stayed in a dorm sleeping 6 (bunks) and my friend was in a room of 3.
You get a simple breakfast of toast and jam for free every morning and as much tea and coffee as you like. Towels are RM2 and you can do your own washing in the sink as there is plenty of space to hang stuff out. The rooms were both air conditioned and there was a communal area with a TV and sofas for chilling in the morning.
They have wifi set up here as well, pretty fast by Malaysian standards, I was able to make phone calls over the Internet quite comfortably.
All the staff were really helpful while we stayed with them and made us feel at home.
We had a look around some other hostels in the area before deciding on this one so you know it's a great choice for both comfort and cost, we couldn't find anywhere cheaper!
