The only good thing about this place is the location.

Don't let the photos fool you. This place is falling apart and very dirty. The photos must be a few years old by the looks of the place.

The bathrooms stink, as does the kitchen and in various states of disrepair. The beds are noisy and uncomfortable. The sheets are dirty with blood spots and stains and the floor bangs and shakes whenever anyone goes to the toilet in the middle of the night.

Then you have the bedbugs tearing you to pieces and leaving you with terrible itching and scars within minutes of closing your eyes.

All this and then the chickens starts singing at 5am in the morning.

If you are looking for a good nights sleep then I would AVOID this place!

It looks like it was once a nice place but unfortunately has not been maintained to any kind of standard. Really disgusting and shameful.

Room tip: Find a different hostel. I tried the dorm upstairs and the double room downstairs. Both were noisy and dirty.

Very quiet and nice environment. Room was good with air cond. Bathroom was a little dirty. Did not really spend alot in lodge. Just a quick nap for a day. Food is just across the road and there's morning marlet on Sunday. Good for budget traveller.

Budget friendly and homey. Very friendly staff, the rooms were sturdy wooden bunkbeds and the bathrooms were clean. The best place to hangout was the lounge which was screen covered so you can enjoy nature and hang out in the sofa. The kitchen was cool too, where you can cook your own food. It is walking distance to everywhere so the location is a plus :)

The rooms are air-conditioned and clean. They will book you just about any tour you like, point out where the best shopping is, where to eat for authentic local or western food. Close to October Cafe which has the best morning coffee in KK. They need a bigger fridge but for a budget place it was very ggod. Plus, if it rains a lot while you are there, they have cable TV. If you know how to sail a boat, ask about their connection to Kota Belud. May will help you.

Room tip: The double rooms with en-suite are best.
